Just found the video and, HOLY SHIT man, it made me cry, i'm 22 now, but as kids we were all trying to beat our own ninja warrior courses with friends and THIS MAN a legend Makoto Nagano was and still to this day is our idol. Best regards from Serbia (Europe) and thank you for making this video, it really made me emotional and also boosted my motivation to keep on going!

One thing I loved about this competition was how the opponents cheered for one another and when one failed they didn't cheer, they despaired with their opponent..especially when Makoto failed. He inspired so many.

Great video. Nagano for me was not only THE Ninja Warrior, but also a world class athlete. Sasuke is rightly a legitimate sport in itself, we have seen countless times athletes at the top of their game try and conquer it, only to fail, it does not matter how good you are at another sport, without dedicated specific practice, you have no chance. This proves how great Nagano was, he wiped the floor with pretty much every other competitor,. He was also very humble and appreciated all the support, a true competitor! Nagano will always be the king of Ninja Warrior.

Makoto Nagano will never truly be gone from Sasuke, his legacy will always be around, the memories will live on, and him redefining Sasuke after his total victory will always be there as a reminder that you can do whatever you want as long as you stay on top of your game, and have the heart and dedication to do so. This man has contributed a huge part of his life to SASUKE. Literally, he would train 300+ days a year for each competition. Even after he achieved total victory, he has definitely proven that he's probably capable of conquering the course for a second time, maybe a third. Growing up watching him dominate, while G4 was still around, he had always left something special in my heart. His passion for SASUKE still lives in me today, and I admire him supporting other competitors now that he's retired. A great and humble guy, and I hope to meet him someday. Thank you captain!

After Nagano Makoto's victory, the course was completely redesigned, retaining only four old obstacles. This new era (the Shin-SASUKE) was designed to eliminate all 100 competitors in the First Stage. However, as time progressed, more and more competitors cleared the First Stage. In his first four tournaments, Urushihara cleared the First Stage three times and the Third Stage twice. Jennis Gurung he retired because it took a toll on his body doing it for 15 years to train so hard but not have great results like he used to. Also he is only 5’3 so he struggled a lot on the wall in the rising era from the wall getting taller and he was also 44 which is pretty damn old in sasuke
