I do not own any rights to this audio clip, it belongs to Sole DXB and it's just an excerpt from an episode of theirs called "In-focus - NAS at Sole DXB 2018".
Please do check that whole video out and shout out to Bobbito Garcia and Nas for putting together a great interview.
Here's the link - • In-focus - NAS at Sole...
*Reason I created this is because my most popular video is the one called "Nas Talking About Big L" so since Nas and Bobbito brought up Big L and had some very nice things to say, I figured I should upload it for the fans to have quick access (and in case they missed the original/full Sole DXB video).

Big L is the 🐐! The greatest to ever do it and it's heartbreaking that the world was robbed of all the jewels he would have dropped in the future! Nas himself said that L made him realize how much he had to step his game up to be able to compete with his wizadry!!

These guys purposely interrupted big L when him and jay z battled if u listen he was speaking over his hardest lines on purpose like “got more cash than gotti” Then jay z came in with a less aggressive flow and didn’t get interrupted which made his part more enjoyable to listeners that don’t care as much bout true lyricism and GOAT debate. that’s why a lot of people think jay won that battle. In reality they were biased bout jay in NY and secretly hated on L anyone with half a brain could sniff that out if u listen to his other times on that show they were always insinuating L was saying too much violent shit and that he was too murderous on the surface…Not saying jay z ain’t decent but L was a different type of phenom and who knows what niggas like him and Pac would be doing today on modern trap beats if they lived on like jay

People that think nas was really scared are stupid he respected big l like big l definetly respected every rapper respected nas and wanted to compete with nas or just show him that they where dope. Nas is the one.
@VaseLu
@VaseLu Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's just a complimentary phrasing. That's why I didn't use the quote in my video of that. Both Nas and Big L apparently respected each other a lot, and they're great at different things, so no room for a "vs' between the two. Like, just their voices are arguably the best voice in rap, and yet they sound very different.
