76 Corvette RestoMod Pt 296 Carpet Install Rear Wheel Wells

This project is now officially a 1976 Corvette RestoMod. Parts 1-49 were called a Refresh. I most likely will be doing upgrades to the engine, steering, suspension, transmission, cooling system and air conditioning. Other upgrades may be considered as the project moves along.

I’m at 4 minutes into video. Yes you can diaasmble the lighter socket part of the power unit and just connect the two wires that normally go to 12 bolts. And you can wrap the supply end and shove it inside dash to where it’s just like having a transformer on it. But yes you can hide it and still use it like you wanted to do. You don’t need to plug it into a port to use it as is. Take it apart. Im Surprised you didn’t already take that lighter plug apart and go that route. You are pretty smart as is.

I’d paint the rear tray frame black. BecUse if you dont it’s gonna look like you bought the wrong color or used wrong color. Having a two tone car is fine but that would not be the two tone look you want. IMO.
