This particular piece, Fantasiestucke Op.73, Schumann did, in fact, write for clarinet and piano, (with cello or violin parts as alternative). The practice room is right down the hall....use a medium hard reed for that chocolate sound. Scales and arpeggios for dexterity. Warm up on Brahms 2nd Sonota, 1rst mvt for breath control and learning to play long lines. Play Cole Porter for long lines and learning to make a single note musical.
