Do you mean all the people walking by without noticing? That did surprise me in capturing these videos. When I first heard Malachy, it stopped me in my tracks. On a trip around the world, I returned every day in Glasgow & then saw him again in Belfast. I was mesmerized. He's still the best musician I've heard in a long time. I do know someone who often says regretfully that they just don't particularly like music; they wish they could. I can't fathom that - maybe it's a gene or chromosome. Looking at these crowds pass by, it seems that maybe 10% of people recognize brilliant music & stop to listen.

Well, I think there are many factors to take into account but the truth is most people can't hear music, seriously, most people can't even recognize if one is singing out of tune. I'm a busker, I experience that every time on the street. I felt the very same way when I heard that guy for the first time, I was absolutely blown away, just watching, listening, and couldn't understand how people could just pass and ignore him. In my opinion the most important thing is that every musician fits in a particular environment. This guy might suit more in music clubs. On the street, especially in Belfast, it's quite hard to attract people, they are very cold in my opinion unless they don't hear some radio sh.t.
