My humble suggestion for your excellent recipe. Heating the non stick pan empty on high heat causes toxic fumes to come out of non stick coating. May be a pittal or loha kadai can be used. All the best

Evenly distribute your batter into the cake pan. Pre heat your oven and then turn the temp down when your cake goes in. Bake cake on medium heat. So that it rises slowly and bakes thoroughly. Baking on med heat also allows your cake to bake flat. So that your cake does not have a dome shape to it.
