Probably, the best hunt I have seen so far. It's really a test of perseverance and stamina. With so many young lions working together to tired the 🐃, the results are rewarding to the pride.

Now that was some excellent footage. I'm still in aww at how young the lions were and how great their hunting instinct is. Now that pride won't be dependant on a few older females to be fed. When they're hungry they'll just go out as a ground and hunt. Perfect

Hi MM. Though it's hard to tell, I'd say that's the Kambula pride judging by the number of lions all present at the taunting and taking down of that big buffalo. Wouldn't you? It was very clearly obvious that the pride all wanted a nice big meal of meat to enjoy feasting on altogether as a big family. But I thought that if the two big Ndhzenga males were with the pride as well, then the pride of about twenty lions would have had not one but two buffalo to eat and enjoy together. But not only that, but the first buffalo will have been down a lot more quickly, followed by the next. The Kambula pride is such a very big formidable force to be reckoned with together. The two big dominant Ndhzenga males, despite having their paws full, are doing a great job of protecting their two prides as well as their large territory. Their presence is just the sort of stability the two prides need in order to survive and thrive so very well and successfully. It did certainly look to be a good old battle between the 2 old ancient rivals, as they're both very powerful indeed. I bet it didn't take the first bovine to die, as one adult lioness of the Kambula pride had the brains & common sense to go for the muzzle to suffocate the buffalo much more quickly and efficiently. Did it? I've got no doubt what so ever that big meal will last the entire pride at least 2 or 3 days altogether. It looked like some of the pride was already tucking into the beast to start getting access to the meat. Just out of interest, do you know if the 11-year-old Island female has still got her 10th litter of cubs there at all? I do hope she has, as with many cubs she's produced, she just faultlessly hasn't had much luck with raising them to hard independence and adulthood. The only offspring she has and did manage to raise well was the Drum Crossing female who hasn't been seen for at least 2 long years or so, unfortunately. If you know how and where she is, then I hope you'll be able to update me as soon and as quickly as possible please. Hope to hear from you shortly. Robert 28.8.24

I don't understand why the old buffalo didn't go back with the others. It seems that he wanted the lions to finish him off. Here we see how he initially goes in the right direction, but quickly turns around and runs in the opposite direction. 8:24 Maybe he was too weak to get up the hill, I don't know. He already had a hard time getting up after being caught. 6:02

@christianlovelock39102 ай бұрын
The fact that they come back to try and rescue each other shows what powerful bonds these animals have. The one that 'stood the other one up and left' was the original buffalo being hunted. He was probably exhausted. And he did have a go, but instinct told him if he tried too hard, he would end up as lion lunch as well. Also, when's the last time you fought off a whole pride of lions?
