The last few seconds of your video said it all. Thank you for that sir, I know where I'm going now.

I enjoyed your video. No crappy music just commentary. I was just down there last weekend in my Jeep and spent the night between mile marker 55 and 60. Only a couple mosquito's. Did that same cross Island road you did but it was dry. Looks like you had almost three times the beach I had, Tide was so High I almost had to drive in the dunes. I think I'll take a camper next time.

Tom Wise Thanks Tom! It is one of my favorite spots. That cross road mud was soo horrible for the truck though. It dried like cement but mixed with salt. It did a number to say the least. It's amazing how the same place can be soo different depending on weather and climate. Can't wait to get back there. Peace.

Hope you had a great time! Mosquitoes are horrible. I live in SC and I have to soak myself with Off Spray when I go to the beach at night. Even worse when there's no breeze.

nice video.....wow I never realized how rough the surf is on the other side of the gulf of mexico from me, here on the west coast of Florida.....the surf is more like the Atlantic.....is it always like that? great video!

+Hike with Mike It was like that for me. Farther south on South Padre it was even more rough.

Nice vid man, im movin from St.Louis to San Antonio and this beach and drive are in my future. How do you think an F250 Diesel 4x4 would fare out there. I have selectable locking diffs, but the front end is HEAVY with that 7.3 powerstroke. Also, with regards to you being worried about rust, up north here we deal with salt slush rotting our trucks out. check out a product called Fluid Film, you spray it on your undercarraige, inside wheel wells and so on. think of it like an oil coating. Keeps that rust cancer at bay.

LawDawg379 Thanks man. You'll do fine with the F250. Most of it is hard packed. Two wheel drive cars wouldn't have a problem even past the 4 wheel drive only sign. Farther south actually ON South Padre Island it's a different story. Loose deep sand and larger wash outs. Not recommended if your pulling something. Pulling or not much lower tire pressure on the loose sand will help more than anything. Good Luck!

can you remember how many miles you went down?
@onemanwandering9 жыл бұрын
+Josiah Hill I went as far as 30 miles give or take. The trailer was about two miles down.

I wanted to go out there tomorrow overnight, but i'm afraid the storm surge we're expecting will rise all the way up into the dunes...wash me out to sea
