Malaska's short game lessons are some of the best there are.

I just bought the Perfect Practice mat and very helpful with building confidence when you get out there on the course. I went from missing about 50% of 8 footers on the mat to making about 90% of them within about 2-3 weeks. Thus far hasn’t really translated into many more putts made on the course, because you still have to be able to read the putts, but hoping that improvement comes shortly and I believe has made me much more confident with the short putts.

I experienced this a couple of days ago, before my round started I went to the putting green and there were no holes so I putted to a tee. During the round I had the best putting I've ever had.

Top sense again from MM. I could repeat what he said but just watch and learn.

I also walk off all putts which improved my putting a lot. The MOST important thing to do with walking putts is to gather info on a) is this an uphill or downhill putt and how severe is the putt and b) what’s the break of the putt (you can feel it in your feet), and c) count the number of steps to the ball which your brain will then tell you how hard you need to hit it...then, just confirm break and speed with your eyes lining up behind the ball, but the eyes can deceive but not what you feel in your feet.

Within the putting stroke do you keep the club low to the ground back and through. Same height all through. Or do you use a slight pendulum swing so the club hits the ball at the low point of the pendulum?

What putter is Malaska using here? Just curious. It almost looks like a Stroke Lab shaft but it's not. I can't quite recognize it.

Years ago I think it was Paul Azinger that gave one of his practice tips in putting. First he would put a medium sized coffee cup on the green upside down and putt to it and second he would remove the cup and then visualize putting to that imaginary cup. As I recall he said it worked for him to putt to a cup sized item that was above the ground rather than just the hole in the ground. I could be wrong in it being Paul, but the tip I still remember. What ever get the damned thing in the hole, right.

Yeah, I heard Paul say that On TV. He really thought he got the secret.

@@BEBETTERGOLF For 20+ feet, my two putts for par always beat the birdie-to-bogey golfers round after round. Cheers!

Yet when I putt with the pin in, I putt my worst. Something I'm still trying to get used to 3 months later.
