Aavesham (transl. Excitement) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Jithu Madhavan and produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed under the banner of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. The film stars Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, alongside Hipster, Mithun Jai Shankar, Roshan Shanavas, Midhutty, Sajin Gopu and Mansoor Ali Khan in pivotial supporting roles. The music was composed by Sushin Shyam, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Sameer Thahir and Vivek Harshan.

There is a comic bit that non-keralites will miss. During the fight scene in front of the college, BK squirms through the crowd and asks “whats happening?”. Some random guy in the back responds “സംഘട്ടനം”, with an added bass. Though the word means “fight”, its a more textbookish form that was used in 80s movie credits. His added bass reminded me of 80s action star Jayan. A brilliant piece of writing right there.

Your review is exactly 💯. I went to watch with half mind because I am fed up of mass movies but this was a mixof humour, action thriller and it actually gives us Aavesham throughout the movie the adrenaline rush in the first half when Fafa comes in. Everyone played just brilliantly.

Malayalam movies also contains nepotism , but tbe difference is that here nepo kids openly admit that they came from a movie family and are extremely good at the work they do . Here its easy to come to industry but its a real struggle to stay in the industry. Dhyan srinivasan , Dulquer Salman , Arjun Ashokan , Prithviraj , Indrajith , Pranv Mohanlal etc etc are all nepo kids but are skilled in acting . Thats why they stay in the industry this long

Everyone utilizes fahad’s eyes. But here the director said his script is not deserving to use the power of his eyes so they used the glasses. Also he said my movie is a block buster with lag in the second half. Not many are there dare enough to talk like that about their movie.
