Although I fly on an A380 regularly, I've never seen such a nice footage of the plane flying through clouds. Might be because I only turn the tail camera on during take-offs and landings. Probably a mistake. Nice video with good sound!

Every commercial aircraft should have a CCTV installed like this, and the footage is broadcast and recorded live with the air control center. In the event of an unwanted event the recording may serve as a source of evidence. What happened to the Malaysia Airline, MH370 and MH17 was enough to teach. Seharusnya setiap satu pesawat komersial perlu dipasang CCTV seperti ini, dan rakaman tersebut disiar dan dirakam terus secara langsung dengan pusat kawalan udara. Jika berlaku sesuatu yang tidak diingini maka rakaman tersebut boleh dijadikan sebagai bahan bukti. Apa yang berlaku kepada pesawat MH370 dan MH17 sudah cukup untuk dijadikan sebagai pengajaran.

i remember an Air Crash Investigations episode where it said the plain had a tail cam and the passengers could have watched there doom from a different angle. i always wonder why that wasn't recorded it could have helped the Investigators a lot. i believe it was the ep where a DC10 loses an engine on takeoff.

It was.. But sadly.. And get this.. Too many folks complained that they felt frightened so it was disconnected. And you have to click how many buttons to find it on the IFE and folks moan? Sigh 😞

The thing is so massive it does feel like a lumbering giant but at rotation she's doing nearly 300kph.. Or around 185mph. And with a full load of people and cargo for the 13 hours to Kuala Lumpur she takes up a lot of runway!

This is a take off from London Heathrow. With so much traffic around the city the skies are very well managed - so yes..sometimes you don't really climb to 20,000 feet and up until nearly over the Continent

Airbus have embedded cameras into many of their aircraft. Tail view.. Nose view.. Down view. Not all airlines have taken the options though.. Extra cost I believe.

They are sitting just ahead of the engines and the buzzing sound is the tips of the fan blades going supersonic.
