In case you return to Malaysia for another vacation, do go to Genting Highland, Cameron Highland (both places are quite cold, so a jacket is needed), Penang, Langkawi Island, Redang Island, Perhentian Island (great for scuba diving and snorkeling), Ipoh, Malacca (historical city) and Johore Baru which is very near Singapore. You can visit Johore Baru first and then Singapore or vice versa. In Johore Baru, you can stay in the hotel in Forest City. Google all the places mentioned and check the details. You need to at stay for a month or more to cover these places.

It's a call to prayers called Azan/Adhan. It's a human voice, not an instrument. I've seen some foreigners say they thought it was someone singing, but this is the first time I've seen people describe the sound as a siren when it's 100% human voice 😂 what a unique way of describing it

I visited KL last week so my advice would be to spend like have visit of around 5-7 days. Book a day tour to malacca city , Cameron highlands and there is a park called tenmen Nagara jungle tour ( I forgot the exact name) And the remaining days just explore KL city like in the video. Cuz what I learned during my trip most of the fascinating and interesting places are not in KL but other cities and this would like a transit hub to access other cities. But this would only be a case for someone like me who is on a tight budget and was having a joint trip with Singapore and then Thailand. ( and also I would not really recommend this as I was having a burnout during this and was not able to properly enjoy everything as I crammed a lot of activities in a short period) So stay in KL and book day trips and I think that would be the best way to enjoy the major highlights of the country.

Correction: 1.KL is one of the cheapest city in SE Asia( cheaper than Singapore and Bangkok especially the accommodation & transport cost as Malaysia is a net oil exporter). 2.An average MRT/LRT ride in KL is about RM3 or USD 0.65 *reason no 51 : Most Malaysian can speak English. You cannot say the same when you are Bangkok or Ho Chin Min city.

The reason why the Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur is rather small is because there are Chinese food all over Malaysia in every city and town. Malaysia has the second largest Chinese population in the world outside of China and Taiwan. Malaysia has larger Chinese population than even Hong Kong and Singapore. So now you know why the KL Chinatown is more for tourists and therefore quite small.

From my experience, most of the shops (like groccery or farmacy) preffer debit card than cash. Sometimes I couldn't buy things for RM10 with RM100 note. Boutique or restaurants preffer credit card. Except street stalls mostly cash.
