If you are leaving Malaysia then no issues.

They also did same for me when i visited Malaysia last year and they asked return ticket and he put this date on my stamp as return date of flight. They do this so that people return by the return date. If you may extend ur stay then u might have genuine reason to show them while exiting then they might not create issues.

That's unfortunate. I visited Malaysia two times since December 2023 and I must say that I had very good experience at immigration. Probably, one of the fastest immigration experience for me after Thailand. I probably cleared within 2-3 minutes in both the occasions. I think it depends on various factors like immigration officer at duty, visitor's traveling history, timing, situation etc. Maybe luck also plays important role sometimes :). Anyway, thank you for sharing the incident.

They’re specifically doing it for Indian citizens. Last month entered Malaysia with my friend, who is from Singapore. We both have the return ticket after 9 days back to Singapore. The immigration officer wrote the RT date on my passport but didn’t write anything on his passport. I asked the immigration why so, he just asked me to leave the counter in a rude way.

Even if you need to clear the immigration at KL it is visa-free for Indians. But if you have single PNR flight you will clear the immigration in Phuket only

Same case with my friend also but no need to worry, they just put this date for their reference. If you want to stay until 30 days, you can. Exit stamp is important for clean travel history. Moreover try to exit country as per your travel plan for no hassle, someone want to stay 2 weeks or 3 weeks buy return ticket accordingly that looks more genuine then changing your plan after entering country.

hotel reservations flights return proof of funds- there is no specific amout in the case of visa free but carry sufficient funds or upto 1k USD

Yes you can exit airport, malaysia is visafree for indians you can either exit airport or you can stay in transit area for 17 hrs it’s up to you

normal docuemnts will work in this case, so keep all your documents in check. To avoid any hassle at the time of immigration, additionally, she can get letter of authorisation from the parents to travel including her travel expenses covered parents and also the proof of someone residing in Malaysia. If no one knows her in Malaysia then she can book hotels

hi my husband s passport india got stamped with IM.96( c)B/B6 as they went to malysia on 8/10/2024 and it was a groyp of 6 people which was arranged by a travel agent and one of them was not able to answer properly that how many days he is staying there and they asked who is coordinator and then they got bit confused but another replied that they are here for 3 days and they just kept them in a room and said they are deporting them Immigration did not ask then individually and thus all got deported. so my question is after how long they xan visit that country again. or is there will beany other issue if i apply for my husband visa for australia as i am residing in australia now please help!

There's absolutely no confusion here. The immigration officer is well within his rights to make a remark that is based on facts. Asking for a return/onward ticket is the officer's job. He can't change the wording of the stamp but he has allowed the person to stay up to the 25th only. Hope the traveller understands this.

eVisa k time par bhi aisa hi hota tha..return ticket k hisab se hi date stamp karte the. Maine 30 days ka stay aur return ticket dikhaya tha tab unhone ek senior immigration officer k pass mujhe bheja tha..mera business visit tha toh unhone allow kar diya aur 30 days ka date daala. Anyway, immigration office mein jakar extend bhi karwa sakte hain beyond 30 days if you have genuine reason and hotel/return ticket.

Not very rare in case of Malaysia immigration since I had the exact same experience back in January that means had handwritten date mentioned as per my return ticket. Malaysia in the past had many visa frauds which ultimately led to stopping Visa on Arrival altogether for Indian passports. Now that they resumed it, they’re bit too cautious.
