We felt it was important that you don’t experience what we did at the customs office. We thought we had done our research very well about the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card. We checked it ahead of time and realized we had a narrow window to complete it. We didn’t factor in our time difference and crossed the date line. We hope this video helps you to avoid the shock we felt when the Immigration Officer pointed out our mistake (not shown) We take you through the form. We hope it helps!

Hi! Thank you for stopping by ❤️. We use Celcom in Malaysia. They have an app you can download, and we found the price worked for us. As far as exchanging money, we arrive with a small amount and then use bank ATM. We felt it was worth the convenience. Happy travels!

There's a special area near the immigration at the airport. Four or five computer stations with the website already on screen. Took me about 10 minutes, this is at KLIA.

Thank you for making this video. I googled MDAC and got a website that tried to charge a $50 fee. I went to your video and saw it was different then the site I was on. I think it was a scam site trying to collect a fee so I am glad I saw this. What is the normal fee for this?

whoa... I am travelling to Malaysia this week and having real troubles 1st accessing the website. nevertheless, once I click on the submit button, nothing shows up on the other side of the submission. I had to register my family too, which I did, thinking that I will get an email. But, NO. Tried doing the "Check Registration" it asks for an OTP / PIN, which was never asked at the time of registration. I tried to reset / "Forgot PIN" it says not allowed to reset PIN. Reset PIN allows once a day" I really wonder what should be the next step!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I am so sorry you are having such a frustrating time. It could be the website was malfunctioning. The PIN arrives in the confirmation email which it sounds like you did not get, so the PIN was not generated. I hope you have tried again making sure all the needed info has been added and you can click submit. If you can connect to the airport wifi or you have cellular data you can click on the QR code in the line up. As we mentioned in the video we did it wrong and the customs officer was nice enough to stamp our passport without it and told us to fill it out. Which we did. I am not sure if we need it to leave the country.

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! Yes .... OMG.... I waited for a couple of hours, cleared browser cache, cookies etc and tried again... the site would not start / super slow, while other websites are working... Then downloaded another browser, and then opened the website, still slow, but at least it opened and I was able to finally fill the form. And most importantly, I was able to proceed to the subsequent page and I got the email confirmation and the most awaited PIN.... Further, not sure of everyone, but I heard elsewhere that sometimes the immigration officer asks for a print out of the PDF file that is generated on the porrtal. I have taken it for safety... Hope I do not have any issues and the officer does not ask me a question like, "Do you understand English"..... hahaha

Ugh! Keep trying different ways. Canadian postal codes can be 6 together or 3 space 3. Can you put a different code in? It is so frustrating!

You are welcome! This is not legal visa advice so please check the Malaysia Government website for yourself. I checked the Malaysia Government site to see what Visas they offer and it says they have 3 visas, Single Entry -social entry visa (which we get) normally gives you 90 days, Multiple Entry Visa Business or Government matters normally 3 to 12 months and finally the Transit Visa which really isn’t a visa as it is when you are transiting through the airport. You want to leave the airport so you will find out if you need a Single Entry visa. Have you thought about putting the airport as your hotel? You could send an email to the immigration like Nomadjack is doing and see if you get a reply. We were on a long layover in South Africa and decided the visa for leaving during a layover wasn’t going to work for us. I hope this works for you.

What about the last port of embarkation? Does this mean the last airport from which your airplane took off, or the country from which you started your trip? Let's say I'm coming from Istanbul, Turkey and I have a short 1 hour layover in Singapore without going through the immigration, should my last port of embarkation be Istanbul or Singapore? If you have passed through immigration and they never asked you about it. Check your passport for your departure date.leave by that date! Welcome to Malaysia ❤️

Hi, are you coming into Malaysia on a study visa? I would put the departure date to match your end date of your visa. We had a tourist visa of 90 days so our departure date matched 90 days. Let me know if you have more questions and I hope you enjoy your studies!

Thank you for stopping by and subscribing! Yes! The date of departure is the final day you leave Malaysia. Put down your first address, you are staying in. Check your passport for the days they let you stay when you arrive, and customs stamps it❤️

@rafibhat4999 the customs officer may ask you to redo it after they stamp your passport. I recommend you do it while at the airport so it gets registered.

Hi! We recommend putting the arrival date expected as you can't control if there is a delay. Have your confirmation email available to show the customs officer. As we mentioned in the video, our date was one day wrong. We made a mistake, and we still got through then changed it right in the customs area. If your plane is delayed, there will be 100s of people in the same situation. Put the date you are supposed to arrive ❤️

The country code that it is referring to is the country code of you phone number. Since we come from North America ours is +1. You should add the country code of your phone number. When you enter your mobile number, you don't include your country code 😀

Hello, Something I am currently having an issue with is when we arrived from Thailand we were unaware of the MDAC Registration so we were filling it out while in immigration line and struggling with the WIFI so one of the security guards informed us we could do it later so we kinda forgot about it till 5 days later and now unable to register due to arrival date has passed, I can't find anything online about what to do at this point so just sent an email to immigration and wondering if anyone has gone through similar situations?

Hello, That is very interesting that the customs Officer didn’t stop you from going on without telling you to fill it out there. As we said in the video we filled it out wrong and had to go over to the table close the customs station and fill it out again. Did you check your passport to make sure you were given your 90 days? I would make sure you leave the country a few days before the ninety days just to make sure there is no concern about you leaving. If you were given your visa you should be fine. They have your passport information. Their system has not picked up that your passport doesn’t have a Digital Card attached to it. I think you are in the clear. You are being proactive and contacting immigration. We wish you the best with this.
