Dear friends
After featuring the so called mining towns like Ipoh, Kampar and Seremban, certainly I can’t missed out on Taiping. Generally the viewership for these episodes were quite encouraging, let’s hope the trend continues. I hope you’ll find this Taiping episode compelling as much as I worked on it. Meanwhile please go out and support the local street food, be it at Taiping or otherwise. Thank you and hope to see you in the next.

A great episode featuring Taiping's food stalls and also a summary of it's historical events and places of interest. I enjoyed and had a good laugh when featuring/illustrating the dessert stall at one of the Larut Matang hawker stalls where you "joked" that probably the Uncle was only able to make 5 types of kuih ( instead of the usual 12 varieties) as he may not have enough of sleep on that particular day. Adding in - (in your comment) after operating the kuih business for 50 years or so - you can't blame him for oversleeping !!! I burst into great laughter- good one Elmo. Again- thank you for making a good and memorable video in Taiping.

When I saw your videos on Teluk Intan and Kampar, I thought you were doing a food crawl in Perak, going norther each week, thought it was gonna be Pantai Remis / Sitiawan / Pangkor next. Very pleasantly surprised when you featured Taiping, I have relatives there and I showed this video to them, they very much enjoyed it. 1:40, the aerial view made them remark on how the town has changed since the 80s, paused at that moment for 5 minutes just to have fun identifying all the new landmarks and getting our bearings. 9:36, this one had my relatives lamenting, apparently it was twice the size for half the price back in the good'ol days 15:49, the best popiah according to my relative in Penang, he'd travel to this stall just to eat it when he fancied

🌷 Memories of the historically rich town of Taiping (1st capital of Perak) keep flooding back. Undeniably, my History books din specifically mention the glorious fact that Malaya proudly became the RICHEST country in SEA; ALL BECOZ of the hard work & dedication of the Chinese miners & rubber tappers. The Chinese INDEED made a HUGE impact on Malaya's economy. Heart-rendingly, this startling effort isn't reflected in MSIAN history & instead came the shameful term of 'pendatang'. How sad ... So besides savouring the good food, I guess a visit to Chang Chun Pu Villa sounds interesting ... in memory of Father Sun Yat Sen. Taiping Keeps Good Food & History Alive.

Yr friend sure do know his best eatery shops around Taiping. As far as 18th mile Sipitanf was concerned , the curry noddle soup was made with prawns shells. This curry Mee type exist no where else in Taiping ! Since restaurant kakak has retired, , another alternative had sprouted up namely the Golden Corner, along it's gold Smith lane . Regrettably, you d missed out the best "Lai Fun " stall in tajping. It goes extremely well with their simple chilly sauce. No Lai Fun bowl can do without 3 spoonfull of chilly sauce . While at pokok Adam, you must never. Miss out on the Assam. Noddle soup. Lastly you had the name wrong . No where else can you find fried noddles , it's called fried Hoo Hee, it was fried kui teow with soup. Non of which can be experience in KL. It is an exclusive dish only found in Taiping, not even in Penang !. Yes giving you a thumbs up here cos you did a spot on take of Taiping food ! Wonderful take . Their coffee still is the cheapest in Msia.

建议作者提到全马很多第一都在太平时,请参考一下,什么是FMS(Federal Malay State) 第一,什么是MP(Malay Peninsular) 。
