My inputIn for this episode is :- " What a Great Host Elmo (and Danny too)" is to his friends coming back to visit. It's not so much of the places visited or dined-in, but the time spent with your friends and the welcoming gestures expresses it all. Yatt Lau ! Mou Tak Deng! 👌

Elmo should welcome this rich nation citizen to pay for meals. The cost is peanuts to them, but it burns a hole in the pocket for Malaysian. I had being host to Americans who had 'jump aeroplane' in the past, I had to tighten my belt for the rest of the month/months.

- I did indeed find it compelling, Elmo Goh - great to see modern day Petaling Street & Madras Lane (I think you're right that most expats or visitors would want to experience old KL more than the shiny modern facades that they can get back home) - Also, haha Uncle Danny, I bet one char siu bao has more sugar than two bowls of dau fu fah*. - I had the same idea as your Perth friends and camped out at St Giles - criss crossing the two gargantuan malls over two days before moving out to the more traditional Bukit Bintang further on. Great to be able to catch a 1:30am movie session and then just plop back down in your bed in just a few steps: a nifty experience. - Mmm...Dai Chow... - Thank you for the compilation! * actually, I 'cheat' as well. Love my white rice but I try never to eat it fresh - instead refrigerating it, and then only dining on it (after some re-heating) for that lowered Glycaemic Index. And for anything overly sweet eg. Mooncakes, I make sure to always have on hand a sour drink (eg. lemon juice, vinegar) as an accompaniment. It's a compromise.

Out of places to recommend? I think not. Many past places in Elmo videos deserved a second visits, it is not fully covered yet. Most of these places need a part two recommendations which Elmo have missed out on the first visit due to time constraint. Even in this video, we are still missing the stable diet of Malaysian, eg. nasi lemak, roti canai, chow kuetiau, wan tan mee and a lot more. About the coconut, it is true according to many that Malaysia coconut taste better but durian gets the limelight.

Back during my days in Klang Valley I used to stroll around China Town whenever I was free. Frankly speaking, it's not my favorite place to go, full of bootleg CDs and other knock-offs, worse still I found some of the vendors were quite deceitful too. My visit was merely because my ex-girlfriend's father owned a stall inside Madras Lane, she had to help out during her day off, love me, love my dog maybe was the right phrase to describe my innermost conflict then. Nevertheless, many nice foods can be found over there, especially the curry mee that serves with cockles in Madras Lane was the stall I patronized most. A lot of things must have changed after so many years I think.
