This video highlights the music for the Malaysian National Anthem, Negaraku (English: My Country). Personally, I find this music-only rendition to be really nice, especially the unexpected twist of having the last two notes of the melody (the Leading Note and the Tonic) one octave higher than usual. The national anthem featured is the 2003 version, same key as the previous version of the anthem. NTV7 would later use another national anthem video, also used by other Media Prima TV channels as well in the 2010s. 8TV's version is an acapella of the anthem. I have vague memories of this national anthem video (from the first few seconds seeing this) which is simply a variation of NTV7's suite of idents of that era. Never saw the "good night" ident. By the time this aired, I would be sleeping. The TV featured is not the same as the idents; it's a TV used in countries where 16:9 screens are the norm especially the United Kingdom. 8TV has a "good night" ident (with the orange logo) which is on my channel. The "test screen" seen here is an electronic version of Philips PM5522, used from its launch until last year. Wonder if this is from the same recording as your "caterpillar ident" video. Also what are the contents before the national anthem appeared in this video? PS: I have vague memories of NTV7's live action promo from 1998.

Wow this is rare! Ntv7 with 2003 anthem. When i was young, i only saw 2006 when it was ending transmission, but sadly all channels became 24 hours, which is sad to see all testcards gone. Now can u please try to find 8tv ending transmission

Sekitar tahun 1998 sampai tahun 2001.,..tiap tiap hari lepas ntv7 telah tutup siaran....lepas tu ada ntv7 test card...kan? Dulu i selalu tak tutup tv or switch channel terus...sebab lepas tu ada banyak lagu lagu inggeris lagu Bollywood akan menyusul selepas tu sampai awal pagi....masa tu ntv7 really my feel good channel...but sadly now ntv7 became History 😢

@@TamanSesame your welcome. I just asked this because at TV3 there was a slight change in 2001 and the reason why they changed the montage in Negaraku is because the death of the king of Malaysia, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in 2001.
