@@erikasol4002 I decided to not go to comprtition with it, but if you put in the effort, it is doable. Just watch for clear articulation at g, dynamics, and low and high range capabilities

I'm in 7th grade and I've been playing the horn for 1 year and I've been learning the piece and have only had 1 lesson about this piece and I know the full piece so I would say it's completely possible to learn it without a teacher.

The beginning sounds really slow the first rit. Sounds almost like the beginning but sounds great

I count this recording to be at like 110bpm? It’s marked 132 which is markedly faster..?

yeah, the fast bits are far too slow, and the slow bits are just rhythmically inaccurate. The dynamic range is poor, and far too many explicitly marked phrases are broken by breaths.
