I appreciate Bill Cosby for showing black Americans in the correct light. Prior to the Cosby Show, it seemed as though "the powers that be" did not care about showing black Americans in a positive light. Cosby may have made some jacked up personal choices in his life, but his bringing the positivity of an American family (that wasn't caucasian) to national and international television, was beyond awesome and was needed. I will always appreciate him for doing that.

1:03:10 - I love how Toure allows Malcom to think after being asked a question. He's very comfortable with the silence. That's the mark of journalistic maturity and having a thorough understanding of the interview process. I remember once Kanye was being interviewed by Harvey from TMZ, and Harvey asked him a serious question. Kanye paused to think, and it went like this: Harvey: Do you want me to repeat? Kanye: No. Harvey: Why don't we do this? Let's take a quick break... Kanye: No, we're not going to Jimmy Kimmel the situation. Harvey: No, we're going to come right back. Kanye: No, we're NOT going to come right back. We're going to give me time to think. You asked me a serious question, and I'm going to take some time to think about my answer. I thought that was impressive that Kanye had the presence of mind to think this way even on the fly. I was also disappointed in Harvey trying to rush him. There is nothing wrong with a bit of silence. But Toure doesn't do Malcom like that. He's a true journalist. Kanye Short: kzbin.infoB-GwH4THMBc

I hate that theirs no shows like the Cosby show that doesn't do the usual stereotypes and push negative lifestyles. We talk about it and we complain but we haven't done anything to change it. If Zeus can promote grown women fighting half naked why haven't we created an app with wholesome shows promoting positive black families who are middle class hard working and educated. That why I will watch the Cosby show and A different world for the rest of my life because it was just that good. ❤❤❤ Each character is so relatable.

😮😮😮😮 I am a former Cosby Show alum. I played one of Vanessa's (Tempest) friends. I recall the look Malcolm gave me when he thought I was going to go off somewhere with creepy ass Bill. I had the 411 on Bill just from my intuition and how he was holding me too tight and too close as we were taking a promotional photograph. I remember thinking I'm never going to receive this photograph because I just didn't feel comfortable in it. However, it was mailed to me maybe a month later and you can see the look on my face. I recall Mrs Ruth Westheimer offering me a black car service to the train station versus the transportation he was offering. Approximately 2 months later all the s*** started hitting the fan. I think many knew something was up back then. By the way, Malcolm was very kind but as most kids are you can tell that what happens in the house stays in the house. Kaufman Astoria Queens was a nice vibe because it was the real deal.
