Oh my god, so someone actually plays Maralen! thought it just got a random spike due to Opposition Agent, but never seen anyone playing her! Great video
@DarkEinherjar3 жыл бұрын
Probably because of the high risk, high return potential of the lock... I mean, all it takes is one counterspell or removal aimed at the Opposition Agent, and suddenly EVERYONE is tutoring for whatever they need thanks to Maralen.

I see that deck as a "one trick pony", I'm not particularly a fan of that but it's nice to see different decks from now and then!

hahaha xD maybe we have similar tastes regarding gameplay :) I try to pick up different decks I find on the internet and give them a try, or when I have no Ideas I might pick up one of mine. But with so much releases I've had really few time to brew. But I'm glad people enjoy watching the decks I end up choosing xD

I just built a Malcolm and Vial Smasher pirate tribal deck, wish we could have seen that deck do its thing a bit more, but a good watch as usual anyway!
@pedrosequeira98293 жыл бұрын
Ahah, idk if there was much more to see. The deck is classic izzet and not at all tribal, just attempting to win ASAP through turbo naus, or turbo wheeling people's hands off. If you had saw me succeeding a bit more, I would probably just be winning >_>

well, mono-black decks can have a hard time specially if they have a tainted pact mana-base, and this deck as such a specific line of play that can easily be disrupted early game if they try to go all in with the rituals, but you can try to do it without a tainted pact mana-base :)

Most of these problems occur from competitive players thinking they are playing in a casual environment when they don't realize they actually have a competitive mentality people need to learn the distinction from casual, competitive and casual competitive

Which problems do you mean? (this is an old video for us to remember everything xD

@@SplitSecond when people want to play casually but they don't realize they are playing/being competitive like when someone mulligans untill they get their ideal hand or takes forever on their turn but rushes everyone else or when they miss play and want to take it back but wont let other people take back plays That's more competitive or casual competitive, in casual you roll with the miss plays you start the game with one land in hand because you are playing casually so the group wont punish you for being mana screwed i had a player come to my group ask to join we said precons and casual is what were playing he said perfect when we started rule zero he said rule zero is cringe than procedes to rant about how the expensive competitive cards aren't good or competitive and started shaming people who couldn't afford them and then proceeds to mulligan for twn minutes and wins on turn two then he shows up a month later with a competitive pauper deck that can win on turn two or three thinking he would prove a point but doesn't realise he is playing a competitive deck in a casual game/pod we had to painfully explain to him it's not the price of your cards that make them competitive it's what you play them with and how

Alguém pode me explicar todas as condições de vitória desse deck da tatyova?
@SplitSecond3 жыл бұрын

Shouldn't Soldevi Adnate go to exile and not go back to David's control when Sequeira loses the game?
@DarkEinherjar3 жыл бұрын
When a player loses the game, the following things happen, in this order: 1. All objects they own leave the game with them; 2. All effects granting that player control of any objects end; 3. Everything they own or control on the stack leaves it; 4. Afterwards, if there are any objects controlled by that player, they're exiled. The stolen Soldevi Adnate falls into #2, so it just returns to its original controller.
@eiigth3 жыл бұрын
@@DarkEinherjar there's no effect granting control of the card. It was previously gained control by the gilded drake.
@eiigth3 жыл бұрын
800.4a. When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game, any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end, and all spells and abilities controlled by that player on the stack cease to exist. Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled. This is not a state-based action. It happens as soon as the player leaves the game. If the player who left the game had priority at the time he or she left, priority passes to the next player in turn order who’s still in the game.
@eiigth3 жыл бұрын
Example: Alex casts Bribery, which reads, “Search target opponent’s library for a creature card and put that card onto the battlefield under your control. Then that player shuffles his or her library,” targeting Bianca. Alex puts Wall of Wood onto the battlefield from Bianca’s library. If Bianca leaves the game, Wall of Wood also leaves the game. If, instead, Alex leaves the game, Wall of Wood is exiled.
@eiigth3 жыл бұрын
This is all straight from the rules
@awoken58033 жыл бұрын
Why did you give back the creature after you died? The creature should have been exiled due to rule 800. 4A
@SplitSecond3 жыл бұрын
That is a normal misconception of rule 800.4A. First the control changing effects end, so the Adnate goes back the David's control, and only after that we exile any other permanent that he would still control.
@xChikyx3 жыл бұрын
that's a weird maralen build... if they exile the opposition agent the deck does nothing?
@SplitSecond3 жыл бұрын
The deck aims to "turbo-maralen-into-agent". If it does indeed get exiled it can still win through Thassa's Oracle ;) Also, the same can be said about other decks that have just one win-con like Thoracle. It's not to say we are apologists of this deckbuilding ideologies but we do like to try some decks now and then. Most of the cEDH community try to thin down decks for the most efficiency possible, therefore keeping about 1 or 2 winning pieces, not to clutter it, there are even "wincon-less" decklists laying around.
@valverdesupport3 жыл бұрын
I thought all permanents cease to exist whenever a player dies. Although sequeira is not the owner he controls the card while he dies, therefore the card should cease to exist and not return to David.
permanents do care about the owner (for tokens, the "owner" is the player whose battlefield it entered in) - if the owner dies, they get exiled; otherwise, they go back to the previous controller.
@SplitSecond3 жыл бұрын
It is a common misinterpretation of CR. 800.4a. A control changing effect is "registered" in layer 2 (Control effects). When you use a Reanimate on a card from an opponent's graveyard, that creature will have you only as the "default" controller. Therefore if you leave the game, that creature will be exiled. On the other hand, if you exchange control of a creature from an opponent with a Gilded Drake, then in layer 2 you're the new controller but as soon as you leave the game, that control changing effect ends, and since the creature had a "default"/previous controller (
