I have sensed her infinite curiosity that I have always had, and tried to foster it the best of my ability. Thank you for posting this interview/discussion. I am going through a lot of his older speeches and interviews while writing time-stamped notes, so I can rewatch them back with her and give perspective on whats being said, while also hearing her perspective, or what she thinks is being said. This is a masterclass in rhetoric. Watch how he refuses to let the white guys control the conversation. He understands exactly what they're doing and is relentless about refusing to walk into their traps, whether it's the thing about the name he was born with, or trying to stir up crap between Civil Rights organizations. He's not even slightly fazed; you can tell he was used to this. He knows it's coming, he sees it, and he absolutely refuses to allow it. He maintains civil language even when a lesser man would just get angry, not for any other reason than knows what it takes to win. This is what real power looks like.

While no doubt racism exists across social spectrums in America, between all groups, even White Against White (Irish) and Black Against Black (Africans) and Hispanics Against HIspanics (Mestizos), it's also a fact if you were to watch the other archival City Desk shows, this is just how people talked back then, after WW2, when Blacks were already normalilzed in the North. The reality of what you are watching in history, is Malcolm X was about to be assassanated by Elijah Mohammed.

It’s because all his points were valid and opposing arguments were invalid He sought for black nationalism for a good reason, he fought for desegregation for a reason, he fought for black rights for a reason. Any racial discriminatory offence towards black people was completely unjustified and therefore invalidating every argument against black rights. But this coupled with the fact that Malcolm was extremely eloquent, articulate, realistic and intelligent which heightened his arguments and made them significantly more compelling.

Just in case you didn't know this, Malcolm noted in his autobiography that he wanted to help Martin Luther King. Malcolm and King were like the "good cop, bad cop" team. Although whites didn't like King either, they eventually gave in to his demands (in part) because listening to King's "nonviolence" was better than dealing with Malcolm and the Black Panthers' "violence."

One of the best things he did and he really grew as a person, after, as an individual with his own style created anew by his being inspired during his trip to Africa, and the renewed spirit he returned with changed him into a more tolerant, a more insightful and quite brilliant speaker and teacher, and as with JFK, his brother Robert, MLKJr and Malcolm, Fred Hampton, my heart barely withstood so much pain as their lives were cut short, and all on the same side of humanity, with so much good they would have gone on to do. Very sad. 'Riots are the calling out to be heard, having been silenced for so long.'

Without any major media company pushing Malcolm X (raa) or a group of famous intellectuals with great influence promoting Malcolm X (raa = May Allah's Mercy be upon him) still he manage to reach a world renowned status. And i believe this was done mostly through word of mouth among us humans. yes the Autobiography of Malcolm X (raa) helped but Malcolm X (raa) is admired & loved by the common man, the ruling elites hate Malcolm X (raa) and still to this very day fear his message -here's why.. “It is impossible for capitalism to survive, primarily because the system of capitalism needs some blood to suck, Malcolm said. Capitalism used to be like an eagle, but now it’s more like a vulture. It used to be strong enough to go and suck anybody’s blood whether they were strong or not. But now it has become more cowardly, like the vulture, and it can only suck the blood of the helpless. As the nations of the world free themselves, then capitalism has less victims, less to suck, and it becomes weaker and weaker. It’s only a matter of time in my opinion before it will collapse completely. --There’s a worldwide revolution going on. what is it revolting against? The power structure. The French power structure? No. The English power structure? No. Then what power structure? An international Western power structure consisting of American interests. -- I believe that there will be ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those who do the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the system of exploitation. I believe that there will be that kind of clash, but I don't think it will be based on the color of the skin.”― Malcolm X

On everything this was an attempt to get as much information of The Nation of Isalm. They knew Malcolm was passionate about what he believed in and would give too much information at some point because of his passion. They basically used his strength against him. They publicly broadcasted his opinion worldwide to harm him, and have witnesses watching.

He is not here to turn tables And that was smart move of him He continued the interrogation smoothly without going head to head with those bigots The last 2 questions were all about making him not to complete his sentence and show him that he is not important (but he kept his calm) Even though some of the ideology behind nation of islam is not acceptable in terms of religion And they were playing dangerous card of depicting the white man as devil And malcom didn't give a fuck he said it in their faces Mutual bigotry is equality Lol

Coming from being a gangster to changing my life around and now I'm at the point of what to follow as in faith. Crazy man. Still trying to empower my asian folks to speak up and stop being the model minority. Asians always fall in line with the white man but never speak up. Black leaders like this paved the way for us minorities. Im educating myself, and reforming myself. He went against the grain and became known. May he rest in peace.
