Wusstest Du Schon ? I’m a Chinese in Los Angeles. I can relate to what Malcolm speaks of because his wise words are universal for all people. According to Malcolm, we are brothers because we voluntarily and respectfully engage each other. These kneeling cops are cowards and are not brothers with the people they are kneeling for because these cops have been psychologically forced to kneel with them.

I am African American in the US.. it’s because some wealthy blacks in the US benefits from the crumbs the whites allow them to have under the status quo..that’s why they fall for the fake kneeling done by the cops. They wanna believe so that their personal situations won’t change.they are cowards simply hoping for the best, instead forcing the best.

@DCamp1271

He had sincere and deep convictions and he was also incredibly knowledgeable about his subject - his passion. You don't find that too often these days because people are either parroting or puppet-ing a set of beliefs, values and experiences that aren't their own. Whatever they think sounds good or right or will win them the most support. Not what they truly believe or what is truly in their hearts. When you speak from your heart, mind and spirit the message is clear. It's a pleasure to hear someone speak this way because it is so rare. Even more rare today. One other thing amongst many things to admire about Malcom X is that he never dumbed down his message for those listening. He didn't go out of his way to oversimplify or coddle his listeners. This exceptionally intelligent and eloquent man spoke to you and me like we were his equals. He did this for two reasons: First, he was humble enough to believe that on some level it is true. We, black people, are all the same. And secondly, he wanted to make sure his audience, no matter how diverse their socioeconomic status or upbringing understood that they also had this "common" reasoning, this understanding which gave them dignity and respect that were not being shown by those in power at the time. He honored black people by speaking to them without condescension. For that reason alone, he stood far above many who came before and after him.

@@supergamergrill7734Forcing people who don’t want to live together is a recipe for disaster. Did you listen to the video? Every time integration is attempted (in what were once White enclaves) White people pack up and run (a.k.a White flight). When schools were forced to be integrated per the Brown v. Board ruling, many young Black kids went through hell. Remember Ruby Bridges? If anything, what we all need is equal access to resources to build up our communities in the ways we see fit. I’m not advocating for forced segregation, but if separate but equal was truly equal in all aspects, I don’t think the fight for integration would have been as aggressive as it was. I’m not saying this because I have anything against White people or other racial groups, but I’m saying this as a person who just wants peace and prosperity for all communities, and I think if we weren’t forced to pretend that we all like each other and formed bonds based on mutual interests, values, goals, etc. racial tensions would slowly begin to dissipate. Again, people should be free to associate with who they want, but we shouldn’t be FORCED into being in the same spaces. That causes conflict, and one group always suffers the brunt of it.

They romanticize MLK because of his speech. That's the reason why he is basically preached in schools. "He wanted peace." No, he wanted to uplift blacks. He was all about civil disobedience. Malcolm believed in the same thing but he had a different outlook on how it could be achieved. People think these two men had the answers. They didn't - they just simply wanted a way out for black people and they were responding in the best way they knew how.

May I suggest that Malcolm was not a civil rights leader, yet, he was a HUMAN RIGHTS Warrior. He said that civil rights were given by the elite to a sub-group, while Human Rights were given by GOD, and should never be up for negotiation..

As great as a man Martin Luther King was, we all in the black community would have been better had we listened to post Mecca Malcolm X. He wanted us to help ourselves before accepting the help of others. Now, we can't do anything without the help of others.

There’s nothing wrong with help from others. But I think the point Malcolm was trying to make was that especially during those times, where racism was much more prevalent than today, Black people should be helping each other and lifting each other up. Once you establish who you are as a race, then can you work with other races. Malcolm has always been concerned with Afro-Americans losing their identity. So he wanted them all to come together to figure out that identity, realize they are beautiful even if their hair, nose, skin, etc is different, remove their slave names, list goes on. Once you understand that beauty lies in our differences, and have that confidence and understanding... I think you get my point.

Intergration was a very poor goal. Everytime Black people unify the movement gets destroyed that tells you the unity was the only key to power, freedom. Jews and italians, Anglos did business with their own and built generational wealth.

Malcolm was 100 percent correct on forced integration. I would post what it has done but it would be removed before I took my phone off of KZbin and would have people wanting to hunt me down and hang me up by the balls. It is sad if you tell the truth you catch hell but if you sugar coat everything to what you want every body to hear you get praised.

@Tj Gard Get Booker T. Washington letters to get his correspondence between his personal friends to get a clearer idea of his views. He was more of a Brer Rabbit or High John trickster figure. He was saying don't agitate white people (because they have a history of violence and currently were vulnerable), but discreetly become master builders, make communities and in 50 years we'd be totally independent. Also the book 'BTW and his struggle against White Supremacy' is an excellent book. Also Garvey wanted to model the structure of Tuskegee.

Before any group can face off against an external opposition, they must first address their ranks to weed out those that meant to do harm, from those that mean to do good. Then, you must encourage those that mean to do good and shape those that have the untapped potential to do good, to strengthen your community foundation. You cannot pose to take on an enemy from the outside, without first acknowledging your own flaws and weaknesses.... Black people understand, the first step in solving any problem is admitting that you have one: Our largest impediment is ourselves. We have continued to refine the design of the chains originally built by those old European whites to enslave our minds.

And if we as black people here in America, better yet, if we as a black race in general true to ourselves, and understood Malcolm of what he said, none of us would not have ever worked for the white man but instead would have had our own businesses, our colleges and universities, our own hospitals, and our own banks and be stable economically thus be independent as we function independently as a people.
