It’s anyone who has ever had to go through the effort of putting in all the hard work to make members of the general public, students, managers or someone else happy and all they’ve gotten in return is abuse or if they’re lucky just getting ignored. The ungrateful population of the world draining away your will to live. After that becoming a comedian and getting revenge is the best thing you can do.

My favourite version of this customer is the one that's so dumb they're the reverse of this. I had a customer come in once looking for a pair of purple kid's sunglasses she had seen last week. I showed her the ones we had. She said, "No, they were a darker purple." These were the only purple kid's glasses we had. I said, "Let me check the back." I came back with the same exact ones. "Yes, those are the right ones! See, they're darker." They were not.

Craig’s termination letter from HR: Craig, we at lucky 8 believe it’s in our company’s best interest to terminate your employment with us, effective immediately. This termination has been caused by your own poor conduct, particularly when dealing with customers. This includes (and is not limited to) 1) Arriving to work with a torn shirt 2) Giving attitude to a customer after they simply asked you where we stock a particular product 3) failure to direct customer to the correct product, forcing them to ask again 4) Yell at said customer when they tell you that you handed them the incorrect item 5) Engaging in a fight rather than standing perfectly still when a customer starts throwing store items at you

The answer was „No idea, your boss is unhappy with you.“ No joke that is all info I got that he is unhappy with me, no why is he unhappy is it something I done or did not done. Tomorrow I had a meting with the person who call me to sign the papers.

It's actually perfectly aligned with it. And there's even a big sign that says "Beer and Wine". I told him "It's right there" while pointing at it and he was still like "where?" And it's not like the front was beer and the back was wine, one side was wine and the other side was beer. The re was even a circular display in the middle that had wine on it. Then I just told him it was by self checkout, and he got it. Then he came back with a beer.

Luckily, it sounds like you were just dealing with an idiot. They'll try to get away with anything, but sometimes, you're just dealing with sheer stupidity. These are the customers you kill with kindness in the most condescending way. Here's the exact same toy you wanted. "Hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for shopping with us" *pretend you have another radio call and walk the fuck away from them*

My particular job is like mental health and customer service, and we have real doozies too. “I need to make an appointment for my 40 year old son with depression” “Are you his legal guardian?” “Yes, I BIRTHED HIM” “No I mean do you have court documents? Because otherwise I have to get his permission to talk to you” “I GAVE BIRTH TO HIM”

I genuinely had someone come in looking for "kid's purple Raybans" and said that the ones she saw before were darker. Ma'am how many shades of kid's size purple Raybans do you think exist that there's a SLIGHTLY DARKER PAIR SOMEWHERE?!

Long story: I worked at a department store back in the day, I was in the boys' clothing department, I mostly enjoyed it, but it was REALLY tiring, most of the customers were nice as long as I treated them with a modicum of human dignity, the only annoying customer I can remember was an old lady that spent a lot of time looking at EVERYTHING, she looked all over the clothes searching for the cheapest deal, and since she didn't find any to suit her stinginess, she started demanding to get a discount for every last remaining piece she would find of a product (as in, almost sold out), I had to keep going to my supervisor to authorize such discounts which he gladly did since he saw how obnoxious the old lady was, she also found a pair of roller blades for kids, which were already at a discount, because they had no box, and she also demanded a discount for those since they were the last ones, then, she asked me to wrap those roller blades for gift, and I told her we didn't have any boxes were they could fit, she asked me to use one of plastic boxes we use to carry inventory, and I told her I couldn't do that since those weren't technically of the store, she then told me to just make a hole to a regular gift box so the skates would fit, and I did, it was the most awful gift wrap I had intentionally done, and I even left the price tag on, so her grandchild can too know how stingy her grandma is.

I've had a few customers like that when I worked in retail who were just assholes/bitches. I kept a smile on my face & tried to stay positive, but either in my head or even muttering under my breath, I said (through gritted teeth) "Get the f*ck out of here." Luckily, I haven't dealt with that in over 7 years since I finally got to go on to better stuff & I'm never going back to retail.

I empathize with this so much...customers are entitled af. I'm a cart pusher and last night a customer bitched at me because my row of carts were in the way of her leaving. The thing is, if she had just gotten into her car and gotten ready to leave, I would have already been out of her way. Instead she chose to stand there in the rain and berate me because she had a stick up her ass.
