Hugely impressive to watch, particularly the setting in and coming out of the run - such a tidy entry and exit, particularly for ploughs as big as those - would nearly need a camera at the back of the frame to see when to drop it in or lift. The operators are obviously very skilled at what they do. Excellent footage, particularly the drone shots.

Hi James believe it or not the plough is actually computer controlled you can set it up on your opening split put the plough through its cycle of lift, rotate and set so it knows where it is before engaging the ground then as either the GPS or the ground speed monitor knows where to engage the No1 share then progressively raise the ground wheels so as to lower the plough as it moves forward, quite an amazing bit of kit, I have filmed no end of tackle in our area including a couple in Lincolnshire where I live belonging Sutton estates and Worsley farms, todays agricultural kit is truly on another level, excellent videography 👍by someone who can envisage where the camera needs to be and keep the subject in frame and stable top job guys👍 👍(couldn't find an emotional of a pair of dogs bollocks so gave u a double thumbs up)😂

@simonbaker3779 lol ! Thank you for that explanation, and I could of course follow and understand the technical details you shared. Was not aware that this level of sophistication was available on that most basic (not to mention important), of tillage implements, the humble plough. Indeed such electronic control is pretty much de riguer on modern combines and tractors, but I guess it was only a matter of time before more and more implements were eventually brought into the electronic control fold. All fascinating stuff. Thank you again. 👍
@simonbaker3779Күн бұрын
@jamesbarbour8400 it is James, the loading shovels we operate at work are so sophisticated with adblu and DPF systems now it's hard to imagine how we got to this level on a piece kit the scoops up a bucket of material and dumps it in a lorry or dumper or screening plant, it's getting to the stage where you need the dealer more and more.

It is engineering put to work. I have a few questions: what amount of fuel do the quadracs use in proportion to all other annual costs? What is the size of the area being ploughed and how long did it take to complete? How much does each rig cost to buy? And to keep?
