Ripping off someone else's deck, and then titling it "In Loving Memory of James Somerton" after that absolutely BEAUTIFUL dismantling by Hbomberguy is just a genius maneuver. 12 outta 10!

@@lucyarisato6850 No joke, I have probably watched that video at least 20 times. Albeit, it's usually when I'm going to bed, so I typically don't even make it to the Iiluminaughtii part of the video... But yes, very well done. Kudos to you!

A humble suggestion, since your brilliant jokes attract new/non-Magic folks like myself, have you considered doing a couple of episodes/a series on beginner friendly fun/funny decks? Low-ish cost, minimal use of complex mechanics/combos, and designed around making folks want to come back to the table, strictly fun>efficiency.

One of my favorite decks is a Zedruu morph. Play some of my opponents "win more" cards face down and give em with Zedruu. Then watch em play protection against a 2/2 creature that I get to draw cards off of.

Oh hey, the deck I stole from the hot KZbinr. I loaded this bad boy with a ton of recursion. First couple games with him I lost a few but then the Raz boar vomited out a galta which threw a protein hulk, and ancient copper dragon onto the field. I’m more a mono blue and esper kind of guy that played around enchantress, spell slinger, and artifact kind of okay but Henzi got me hooked on boss rush the deck

My personal "I Stole This Deck" deck is Xanathar, Guild Kingpin, built with absolutely nothing but ramp, protection, and a few ways to skim lands off the top of decks, but otherwise yeah, if someone brought a solid deck I'll be playing it LOL

I had a deck that was designed to get 15 mana in one turn by ramping green, stay alive by drawing and doing mild control with blue, and then play, untap, and use the 7-mana comes-in-tapped MirrorMirrorrorriMrorriM from Unglued all in one turn when I was almost done decking myself. "I Stole Your Deck" was literally the theme.

Fun thing about Morph: you get to respond to Split Second. Special action plus triggered ability.

As someone that plays a mono blue morph deck. (Ixidor) The times I've won games is by pickle locking the table. So yeah, summoning a bunch of small creatures and hoping not to get your teeth punched in is very accurate.
@hoodiegal3 ай бұрын
"I paid 2 mana for a 2/2, please let me keep some of my teeth" - I love how you're not even asking to keep all of them. You know what's going down, and you're setting realistic expectations.

I kind of vibe with the Azlask guy. I did a funny and made mine to work with my playgroup's $50 budget format where no card can be over $5. It technically is a 6 color deck thanks to colorless matters costs. At least Spawnbed Protector had finally gotten cheap enough to work for me, so I was able to jam it in there.

38 lands in commander is not, by any stretch of the imagination "too many lands" in most cases. Hell, as a rule you should almost never be running fewer than 36 if you don't want to miss land drops frequently. 40 lands should be your base line number (because that is the exact statistical equivalent of 24 land in a 60 card deck), and then you take 1 land out for every 2-3 ramp sources you have. If your deck isn't built around ramping, 38 lands is fine (especially if you have a lot of card draw or landfall effects.)
