There are campaign videos online, showing their party supporters parading, dressed like Mr. Modi, wearing Modi face masks and then wearing a garland of shoes as necklace. You are right. Maldives is extremely expensive compared to Lakshadweep. An important fact to consider is that entry to Lakshadweep has been controlled to limit the commercial footfall to keep the nature pristine. I hope in future as more properties come up, they too will take care of the same. I have always pondered that when Maldives go under, then where will their population go? America or Africa?
