Krishna is not inferior to Brahman. Both are different perspectives to look at spirituality. Krishna can be seen as the manifestation of Brahman that is fully aware of it's nature. Likewise, Brahman can be seen as the radiance originating from Krishna. It's like how you can study properties of light via ray theory or wave theory or quantum theory. All of them explain the same phenomena in different ways.

the sanatana philosophy says that god is all powerful he is in everything and everything is in him thats why we conceive him in many images such as of human ( krishna) , animal(narsimha) water , air , atom and even a formless (brahman) like abrahmic faiths and literally everything by keeping in mind that on the ultimate level he only one but can be perceived in many ways whereas abrahmic faiths limit the god in very short boundry and it seems that their god is somewhat commandful as he tells his worshippers to worship him in a single manner only
@zuzanareacts9 ай бұрын
so that's interesting what you are saying. I totally get the first part. In Christianity (the only one I Can speak for) we believe that God is omnipresent = and knows and sees everything. However, I think religion plays a commanding part on it - manipulation. The God we know is love - that's it God is love and the creator an eternal. These are the basics. of perception. But there are many different variants of Christianity just like there are paths in Hinduism ...
@harshtripathi44588 ай бұрын
@@zuzanareacts I am curious to know whether jesus was god or not. And if christians consider him god and then worship him then isn't that the god coming on earth. Isn't that idol worshipping. Even christianity believes in holy trinity like hinduism. It seems christianity has very similar beliefs like that of hinduism.

In Sanata Dharma, here there is a reality, and that reality has been named "Brahman" which is formless , sexless, and an impersonal God, it is a consciousness. It can only be felt.You , me everyone etc are the particles and are parts of that Brahman as we are realities too. The small realties/consciousness have been named "Atman"(Self).So brahman and Atman is the same thing as Atamans are parts that "Brahman"...And even though all the "Atamans" are the parts of the "Brahman", they exist in different bodies for time being or temporarily (As we all die one day). This separateness of different Atman(self) like me you etc is called Maya (Illusion). Because our soles are in different bodies temporarily. So, kali, Shiva, Jesus etc. all are parts of Brahman or that bigger consciousness too. Abrahamic faiths do not have such things because they deem God to be a separate thing which creates a lot of issues. So, their concept is dualistic. And Indian philosophy is "non-dualistic" which is in Vedanta/Upanishad.@@zuzanareacts

Hinduism is the Universal Set of all knowledge. Islam, Christianity etc, etc are like small subsets within the realm of hinduism or sanatana philosophy. That is why we never convert - why should the richest man in the whole universe go after a few coins lying in the ground? That is also why we are comfortable with all religious co existing. We see them as different paths to the one truth - god is in everyone, the god in you is The same as the god in anybody and is the same as the universal god. (Atman and brahman) When you realise this truth, you merge with god. That is why hindus have no problem with different religions and though we have one formless god, we can worship him in any forms dear to us - rama, shiva, vishnu, sakthi, devi, kali etc.

According to Gaudiya Vaishnavism (the school that ISKCON follows) Krishna is considered as the primordial form of Brahman. He is not a deity who only created this universe but rather the progenitor of Mahavishnu who subsequently created the multiverse. The formless attribute of Krishna is called the Brahmajyoti (i.e. the Divine light) which blocks unprepared individuals from visualising his transcendental form. Unfortunately many of such people then conclude that God is formless and religions or sects founded by such individuals regard any form given to God as imaginary and therefore blasphemous. 🙏

Thanks Zuzana. The hope the below explanation sheds some more light on Hinduism. The term "Hindu" originally had its roots in a regional identity, stemming from the ancient Persian word "Sindhu," which referred to the Indus Valley and its surroundings. It encompassed anyone residing in the Indus Valley and beyond. At that time, the concept of religion, as we understand it today, didn't exist in the Indian subcontinent. People believed in following dharma, which is now known as Sanatana Dharma (Eternal Duty) In Sanatana Dharma, the ultimate goal is often described as Moksha or liberation. Moksha signifies freedom from the cycle of birth and death (samsara) and the attainment of spiritual enlightenment and union with the divine (Brahman). The interesting point to note here is that individuals can pursue various paths - Karma Yoga (the path of selfless action), Bhakti Yoga (the path of devotion), Jnana Yoga (the path of knowledge), and Raja Yoga (the path of meditation) - in their quest to achieve this ultimate goal of Moksha. Thus even atheist who follow the path of say Karma Yoga, without believing in God, is a Hindus.

I liked the concept of Achintya Bheda Abhedya mentioned in 24:25. Personally I think many of the scientific anomalies we see such as 'double slit experiment' can be attributed to it. But existence of God as we think it is, is also debatable. What we know at the least is that there is a source of consciousness ('chetna') in this world. What that source of consciousness is, we would never know but can only speculate. Thus, to me, the ultimate goal of nirvana, moksha, oneness with the creator is also our speculation. Attainment of enlightenment is something we should aspire to so as to become our better selves. Whether it leads to moksha or not should be immaterial.

Lemme give u a very vague example, we see many things/elements spreading across the earth but if we see from space, all those combined forms a sphere/globe, similarly we may perceive reality as formless, powerful, omnipresent, source of all but if there's a shape/form to it that we can see with our eyes , it's Krishna. I hope u got it...This is my understanding as I go to Hare Krishna (ISKCON) temples.

Actually the problem is that there is no perfect word for God in the English language .That's why most of the foreign readers misunderstood Gita a little bit. In Sanskrit language there is an atma and a parmatma concept. Most of the people miss the krishna's teaching in Gita which he said to Arjuna .. he said everyone is part of parmatma and so are you too. The difference is that I got to know and you don't. This is the core theory of sanatana Dharma.
@zuzanareacts9 ай бұрын
would you be able to help me understand a bit more the difference between those two concepts? As what you just described is also in the Bible - he resides in me and I reside in him (as in from what I tried to understand from your comment - everyone is a part of parmatma). What I don't follow at all is that part on the difference is that I got to know and you don't. Thank you for your patience with me.

Paramatma is Gods form on the heart. It doesnt mean we are all God.
@souvenirspace9 ай бұрын
@@zuzanareacts yes exactly. You got it perfectly. Parmatma means super soul. I would describe this like parmatma is an ocean and souls are like drops of water but there is no fundamental difference between both waters. The one who gets enlightenment through meditation and yoga, he get realisation of this truth, means he gets to know that he is part of that parmatma. He finds himself as an integral part of this creation. The only difference between human beings and parmatma is the realisation. If you realise your true identity, you will find ecstasy and you will become parmatma. (Actually already we are but we don't have that realisation, we have just knowledge in our mind and information doesn't work in meaningful). Sorry I am also a truth seeker. 😄😄 I am in that journey so whatever I experienced, I am sharing. You may discuss anything without hesitation 😊🙏

The problem with Islam is that is based on the ideology of ONLY our way is the right way, ONLY what WE know is the truth whereas Sanatan believes in seeking and exploring. Your relation with the supreme is your personal choice. You can choose to give it any form or call it by whatever name you want. Like he said, there are multiple ways of crossing a river using multiple kind of boats. But Islam says ONLY our boat can take you across and all other boats are false (Well, how do you know?) This is what i find problematic.

Their religion says if you can convert even a single person to their religion, they will go to heaven. They say their god is merciful. Then why their god discriminates and sends to hell? Why hell is created in the first place if he is merciful? I feel they were becoming intolerant and bringing up the topic of toilet instead of enjoying the beauty of God. They were too materialistic in their examples.

Zuzana i guess since you're new to Sanatana Dharma it's clear that you have quite a few misconceptions about some basic concepts. Some of which was evident in your attempt to speak about Brahman and God or Allah in the Abrahamic faiths and equating them. And further talking about the hierarchy etc. Firstly Brahman is not the same as God in abrahamic religions. Secondly the hierarchy you're imagining is not at all the accurate way to look at Krishna etc. The way you speak about energy, while maybe remotely alluding to something coherent, its not the terminology thats helpful in understanding. The creator created duality is also a misunderstanding. There is so much more that you can understand if the basics are cleared for you. It'll be too much to type.. Let me know if you have a discord server so that I can make some basics clear. Cheers

Hinduism is the ONLY ONLY faith system in Universe that is All Inclusive. It allows what ever you pray, however you pray and whoever you pray. All prayers goes to same Supreme God Parmatma( In Form as Maha Vishnu and Shiv and their divine energy as Goddesses OR Formless God). Be it atheists, agnostics, homosexuals or anyone, all are welcomed and embraced and all can question and debate. As the God says- He is beyond emotions and not angry. His Maaya Makes emotions for living beings. It allows to pray God in form, In formless, Nature worship as God worship. All sects of Hinduism has the same basic philosophies like the mother Dharmic faith system called Hinduism. Be it Dharma ( right process of everything in Universe and right conduct of people), Karma, Moksha, Rebirth, Ann Daan and Jivan Daan are greatest Daan, Non Violence towards any living beings until defense, Protect innocent and righteousness. Many many more... All world is divided into 4 Varna. It is based on profession and any one can change his profession and get into other Vran. But unfortunately people took it as family legacy..,.,

I really like your understanding of the Hindu faith. Note: Hare Krishna movement is one of many branches of Hinduism, where they teach gita and beleive krishna as the human incarnate of brahman himself! What you said is right, our goal is to reach god (brahman) the ultimate reality. But that is very blunt for non-hindus. See, he is described as everything that is divine...And so we try to love/seek blessings from everything divine one prays to shiva, another to vishnu, other to goddess devi, we also pray to Lord indra, agni, vayu, hanuman, and so on.... we also seek blessings from snakes (naga rituals), rats, elephants (see kaja pooja), trees and every little divine thing in god's entire creation! May lord bless us all!

"Allah" doesn't mean the "True God", but Allah is the name of the GOD Muslims believe in. You can understand that fact from the saying "La ilaha illallah" [meaning 'There is no god but Allah']. Allah was one among the deities the Quraish believed in. Muhammad removed the 359 other deities from Macca and implemented his one GOD and named him Allah.

React to video called '16 Indian Philosophies explained like Strategy' - to get the understanding of Hinduism along with Hindu conceptualization of God. Advaita(non-dual) is considered the highest, the problem is it is very elusive realization as if you can almost grasp it and the path to reach that realization is not easily accessible within that philosophy hence incorporating various other philosophies of Yoga and Kashmir Shaivism.

The Muslims do not understand about why idols are used. Basically when a child learns to walk he is grabbing or holding onto things until he or she becomes confident and can walk without aid. Similarly on a humans personal spiritual journey, in order to help focus and pray and as you grow in your spiritual journey a candlelight replaces the idol and finally connecting to the divine through their prayers or meditation. This called one's journey from Sagun to Nirgun.
