Thank you so much for the appreciation Yurika Nakano! Maldivian government delayed the reopening of the local islands (the information came after the release of this video). They will announce the new date on the 15th of August, most probable will be the beginning of September 2020.

Yes, no worries! You definitely can! The travel agency you are traveling with or directly the resort/boat in which you will be accommodated will take care of your registration in TraceEkee app

We are glad the video is useful for you! Thanks for stopping by! If you stay (even partially) in a local island there is a compulsary departure PCR test requirement. To move from local island to resort it is not required to do PCR test but ministry of tourism should be informed for your movement - this is managed usually by the hotel/guest house, where you are staying

Seaplane cost is not included in the room rate (around 500$ up & down per person). For this resort there is also an option with domestic flight to Maafaru with Maldivian Airlines + speed boat, which will be cheaper transfer

If you stay in Maafushi, you need to pass a test 72 hours before your departure from Maldives. It's a mandatory requirement if you stay in any tourist guest house island to pass a test before you leave Maldives. You can split your stay between local island and resort, but you have to get approval from the ministry of tourism (guest house/resort will assist you for the approval). How maldives guarantee that tourists would not catch covid 19 from the other tourists in the resort. The method is risky although it is convinient for the visitors.

Good question! Thanks for it! Health guidelines prepared from Maldivian Government are around 25 pages document in which all different scenarios are covered and all health preconscious details regarding the tourists from arrival till departure. We believe if the guidelines are followed, which every tourist facility is obliged to do, it's gonna be fine! :) Separately some of the airlines as Emirates have additional measures - as PSR test to board the aircraft. Other good factor is the isolation of the islands of Maldives and that they are not crowded with tourists at all, just the opposite - that's y Maldives is one of the best places for relaxed beach vacation :) But of course the responsibility of the travelers is also not less important in the guarantee of the health safety :)

@@TravellyWorld What ever the guidelines say, those don't seem to be followed. See the rising number of cases after reopening without any strict testing. Maldives now have one of the highest per capita Covid cases .

@@prasasea This ratio is quite normal for Maldives, because the population is a tiny number comparable with the other countries. Let us disagree about not following the guidelines. From more than 5000 tourists arrived for the last month there are only 4 virus cases. The rising number is in the capital, which is not unexpected - considering the trend in Europe and the density of Male. Hopefully the compulsory wearing of masks in Male district and the curfew 10:00 pm to 5 am will give some results in decreasing the numbers!

It's gonna be all right! Condor usually operates the direct flights Germany - Maldives. But off season they don't fly anyway. Right now you can fly with Emirates, Ethihad or Qatarairways with a transit in Dubai or Qatar. Just keep in mind for Emirates and Ethihad there is a requirement PCR test result before boarding the aircraft
