At the young tender age of 47....I know that proper hygiene care must be taught and it's not race specific.Otherwise it's trial and error. I mentor young women between 18 and 24, and a lot of them have admitted to struggling with vaginal hygiene. From BV to yeast infections to thrown off Ph. When you have multiple partners or unprotected sex or even allowing a man to climax inside of you, it's going to smell. I don't care if you shower multiple times a day. You have to learn proper "after sex" care, proper supplementation like probiotics/prebiotics, and yoni steaming, can be a game changer. We have to teach our little sisters the proper ways of self care down there, just like young men have to learn how to properly clean their uncircumcised penises. However that's another topic. Each one teach one but don't bash, it's a sensitive topic.

A lot of women and men have been miseducated about a woman’s hygiene. Women need to visit their gynecologist once a year and get checked for STDs and Bacterial Vaginitis. When there is an odor, douching is not the remedy. Antibiotics are needed to get rid of the odor causing bacteria. Douching just covers it up and makes things worse. Men need to get annual checkups, too. They could be causing the problem down there, too, especially if they have multiple partners. Sometimes condoms, foreign chemicals, or foods can throw off the pH balance, too.

I've been divorced for 2yrs now. One of the last arguments myself and ex-wife had was about the smell of my daughter who was 5 at the time. I went to bathe her and as soon as she got undressed a foul stench hit my nose. I was pissed. Although she was 5 I did my best to explain to my daughter the proper way to bathe because she was getting to the age where myself or mom shouldn't need to bathe her. After she was in the bed I went to her mom and asked her why was our daughter smelling like that. This woman said that she didn't know. I looked at her dumb founded and said that she was her mother and she be the first person teaching her proper hygiene by showing her the proper way to clean. The damn woman got mad at me and said she's only five. I'm still looking dumb founded because in my eyes that makes it worse. By her being 5 her mom she always either be cleaning her properly herself or ensuring she does it right. There is no way that my daughter or any other child, young lady, or grown woman should smell like that. I was so pissed that I told her that's why I have my own restroom. I don't wanna smell no funky Kat🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️
