For a capsule hotel, the room is REALLY nice! I kind of wish we had capsule hotels here in the US, and moreso, hotels with floors just for women (it’s a safety thing).

It’s great, especially if there were options all over the United States from men to women only or soft coed places to stay.

The reason why the USA cant have *nice capsule hotels or nice things in general is because the general public does not take care of public property/private property. The average american vs average Japanese have very different cultural standards where respect for property and not damaging the fucking property is not even comparable. And is one of the reasons nice things cant be given to the people. Keeping stuff clean is another issue with americans. Seems to me americans dont keep the public property as clean as they should.

@@N_May1 while I 100% agree, I think the bigger reason why something like this doesn't exist in the US is due to the cheap pricing, which would make this a very appealing option for homeless people

Strictly speaking, a capsule hotel is not a hotel. By law, it is a "simple accommodation". Capsule hotels do not have a key because if they have a key, they become an "inn" and must clear various legal regulations. Thank you :)
