In the movie, Maleficent, Angelina Jolie played the role of a fierce and vindictive protector who puts on an evil appearance. Angelina Jolie, playing the role of Maleficent wears prosthetic cheekbones and horns to play Sleeping Beauty’s nemesis and therefore, looks quite scary. There were some scenes that required a small child, Aurora to play a small appearance with Jolie. However, she looked so scary that none of the small children who auditioned to play the role would stay anywhere near her. Every small child brought to the set was terrified of Angelina Jolie’s costume. It was only her real daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, aged 5 years at that time, who was not terrified of her costume because she knew it was her mother. The scene also requires the child to be affectionate towards Maleficent and not get terrified of her. So it was an unplanned casting member, her own daughter, who ended up shooting the scene.

The 2014 Truly was a Beautiful Tribute to The 1959 Sleeping Beauty Film while Telling a Completely New Story as well. The Heart of The Film is The Relationship between Maleficent and Aurora. At First Maleficent has to keep Auora alive so that she can die at 16 Years Old to get her revenge on King Stefan. But she Grows to Care and Love Aurora as if she was her own Daughter. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning does a Wonderful Performance Bringing This Tragic Mother and Daughter Relationship to Life. Angelia Jolie was Perfectly Casted as Maleficent she Truly was an Incredible Successor to The Late Elenor Audley (1905 - 1991) and Elle Fanning does a Beautiful Performance as Aurora and is a Magnificent Successor to Mary Costa.
