To be fair, Maleficent is extremely powerful in her own right and even in KH3 she still feels it even if she isn't a Main Character. For me Kingdom Hearts made her so much more than any other Disney content and I think during KH 2 she suffered the "Worf Effect" to make Organization XIII look like bigger threats. If you look at her History she's defeated a lot of trained Keyblade Wielders, which makes me wonder how Sora could've beaten her so I think she could've taken on a few members of Organization XIII and won.

That’s all with extra context that didn’t exist at the time of KH2 so I don’t count it. Same with how when I say I love Ansem as a villain I specifically mean how he was portrayed in KH1 before he was retconned into having a different backstory.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy the videos and leave any thoughts you might have! I’m especially proud of the big kh2 video. Only tip I really have is to come up with an idea by going “what do I like or don’t like about this character, story, or gameplay element” and then just start writing down those things however small. So maybe “why do I like combat?”, well it’s fun. Then ask “what do I find fun about it?” Etc I know it’s simple and kind of obvious but I feel like it can be easy to get lost in the many ideas when writing so this helps me to simplify and see it as less intense or overwhelming. All I’m doing is finding out why I like something snd looking to the thing I like for answers. Then it’s just about presenting all those conclusions in a compelling order that makes sense to you.

Did not care for the manga's brand of comedy on Maleficent. It feels OOC. The game itself did a better job using Maleficent for comedy in a way that stays true to her character, without having to give her these exaggerated facial expressions or railing on to the point of self-parody (Pete, otoh, translates perfectly to the manga's humor.)
