Princess Academy is also a great series! I can't wait for you watch it. Those princesses are played masterfully... just as much as the villains, especially Merida. The actress that plays her makes us relate to the Scottish princess so much... Can you imagine Merida interacting with princesses like... and this is an example, Snow White?

@@sherrysme I think that, given the fact they're more singers than actor, is still so good. Maleficent is quiet but scary at the same time, Jafar is calculator and clever, Gaston is... Gaston. And the Queen is just fabulous, never cracking a grin. Well, I hope you'll enjoy Bad Never Looked so Good

This series is not like Descendants. They are not trapped or stripped of their powers. How they came back to life is explained briefly at the beginning of season 2. About this plan... you'll see there's more into it than what you think. There's even a "little" twist at the end of season 1. Now the next two episodes are musical and those two songs are amazing!! One of them will have the sidekicks, instead of the villains.

Also, as to your question as to how they cheated death, my personal theory is that Hades, the lord of the dead might have something to do with it. There was even an episode in the Hercules animated series in which Hades brought Jafar back to life so that they would both team up and get rid of Aladdin and Hercules together. So, who is to say that Hades did not do the same thing for the rest of the villains and that's why they locked him up?

I assumed that this is series was before the Descendents movies, but after the movies that all the villains were introduced in.

Descendants isn't really part of Maine Disney Cannon this would definitely be way more accurate if something like this were to happen with Disney
