Malenia fought Radahn, because Radahn stoped the stars And since the stars govern destiny, both Miquella and Malenia (and Ranni) needed Radahn dead to change their destiny Nice allegory for Radahn upholding the Status Quo, while Malenia is basically the personification of Change Miquella wanted to grow up, and not be stuck in a childs body, Malenia wanted to get rid of Scarlet Rot Meanwhile Ranni didn't want to become a puppet of the Greater Will through the Two Fingers, so I guess Ranni would not mind, if Malenia killed Radahn back in those days already... By the way, when the Malenia vs. Radahn happened, that was the time Mohg kidnapped Miquella

According to my understanding, Miquella also wanted to change the social order by creating the Haligtree which the albinaurics, historically a downtrodden group, refer to as their promised land. Additionally, judging by the misbegotten and kindred of rot there, you can kind of assume that the Haligtree is a place of refuge for any group seen as disgusting (although maybe the kindred are just there because of all the rot) Either way, Miquella seems to want this, and as the blade of Miquella, Malenia would be in pursuit of this as well. Just another thing that might support the allegory of Malenia and Miquella being against the stagnant status quo of Radahn.

20:21 The fact that one of the only times that Malenia's Rune is actually useful is if you're trying to fight Rykard without the Serpent Hunter with a melee weapon so that you can get the HP you're losing from standing in the lava back is just hilarious to me.

That's only half true because if you get ticked again before you healed, that hp is gone for good. The rune is still heavily outclassed by the godskin talisman that gives you hp from combos in that situation, lol.

@@AgentChick I'm not going to try to claim to already know, it seems to need testing and ultimately would depend on the build. People discount Malenias Greatrune as soon as they get it so there's next to no information available on a cursory google, but I'm noticing a lot of the limitations it has are completely different from what the Godskin Talisman has. I would be shook though if the extra 20 or so HP per proc from Morgotts greatrune consistently outclassed Malenias GR, considering status effects and spells can activate Malenias effect.

Don't think at all Malenia was on the way to Mogh's when she fought Radahn, instead, I'm pretty sure that Malenia not being home is precisely what allowed Mohg to kidnap Miquella. She'd prolly have bopped him otherwise

It's good at interrupting PC poise, and I think would have more poise if your character did. The Melania set doesn't have very high poise, so that might be where we had the issue

@tulokthebarbrarian2033 it interrupts PC poise because of the 1.10 PvP changes. Against players/ npcs your poise *stat* means very little. In fact, when Milicent invades in Aeonia, her Waterfowl true combos, just like In PvP. I guess enemy poise damage is just different from PC poise damage?

You should do a starter run as the holder of one golden seed, owner of the house we all wish our favourite characters were in, fort haight, the granter of the impossibly strong erdsteel dagger, the great KENNETH HAIGHT!

Mohg can actually be the second remembrance boss you fight and kill in the game, as long as you kill Godrick, and then do Varre's questline, either online or offline, as that gets you the medal that teleports you to Mohgyn's Palace. Which means the only remembrance bosses you are forced to kill after Morgoth are the Fire Giant, Maliketh, Godffrey, Radabeast, Malenia and Placidusax. Another two cosplay NG+ runs I can recommend are Maliketh (Destined Death shreds through bosses with high holly resistance, because Destined Death doesn't care about your holly resistance) and Mohg (if it can bleed, then Mohgyn's Sacred Spear's Ash of War will decimate them. I've been doing it on NG+, and even bosses immune to fire damage get brought down by the bleed). They're both extremely fun. Great work.

Ok so, little bit of lore for the Radahn fight, Miquella is trying to bring back Godwyn. He needs an eclipse to do it. Radahn is holding back the stars. No stars, no eclipse. I.E. Radahn has to die.

Need Crucible Knight next. Ordovis GS is absolutely busted. The aow does insane damage even to holy resistant enemies and also has ridiculous stance damage. The Siluria Tree is great as well, and it's a great way to kill the crucible duo to get Ordovis' GS
