Deron and Phil should do a Malevolent Creation Biography book. A ton of history of the most underrated band in metal

@nightmarecabin8933 no doubt about it. It needs to be done. There is only 4 bands in death metal I enjoy every single album of a large discography: Malevolent, Cannibal, Dying Fetus and Nile

I first heard Malevolent Creation when I bought the cassette The Ten Commandments. I saw the cover and had to buy it. Never heard of them before. I think I bought it from Hogwild Records in San Antonio, Texas. Then there was a full color page add for Retribution that I tore out and hung on my locker in high school. Been a huge fan ever since, particularly the Bret albums.

That's awesome. Thanks for watching. I hope you think we did the band justice here.

I literally owe my discovery of Malevolent Creation to Deron. I think he alluded to it on the old Ask CKY threads on the old official website. Yeah, fucking changed my life. Old school In Flames and shit too, stuff like that. He never recommended anything remotely boring. This was like back in 2001 or 2002 or some shit.

Oh man it was hard to listen to you guys bash In Cold Blood like that. I absolutely love that album, I love the sound, the vibe, the riffs. Great interview though. Jeez Deron knows everything about that band, incredible source of information about quite an obscure band.

Ah sorry dude, hey one of them had to be the worst and Malevolent's worst album is still awesome. I'd love to be in a band as good as Malevolent on a bad day you know what I mean? Thanks for watching

Envenomed is a fucing masterpeice, None stop assault on the ears. Everything about that album is perfect! Great riffs, Great lyrics, Great hooks and just overall the best malevolent creation album. I'm still looking for that 2002 tour long sleeve shirt, Iv begged Deron for it but he won't sell it haha great podcast my friend thank you!

Great interview you really know your stuff, Deron knows so much about malevolent creation it's amazing I learned so about Malevolent creation and Deron was my introduction to Malevolent creation from seeing him ware thier shirts. Definitely try and get him on again I enjoy this most podcasts or interviews are so bad and the interviewer doesn't do their homework and isn't prepared especially when talking to a malevolent creation expert like Deron haha

"Retribution" being the RIB of DM is quite a claim. Being a huge MC fan ever since I´d rather give that title to the first Deicide or Vader´s De profundis perhaps. RIB is all out frantic and crazed from start to finish whereas Retribution shows quite some elaborated and thought-out riffing, more groovy parts and an overall different atmosphere and mood. I´d even go as far to say that given all the brutality and destructiveness of this record there´s also a sense of elegance to it which in turn RIB lacks completely, imho.

That's a really good take actually. I might do a video called "What is the Death Metal Reign In Blood" and through a bunch of candidates and let the audience decide. I think I just said it because it's my favourite. But thanks for the input, hope you enjoyed the rest of the video.
@thedissonant Жыл бұрын
@@nightmarecabin8933 Sure I did. Cool to see different takes on MC´s discography. Insider and fan. Especially getting some info on Stillborn and how it ended up being the way it is. I´ll be watching out for your RIB of DM video. Putting together the candidates should be a blast!

Who is the guy in the control room whose voice you can hear say the words, "Challenger, You Can Throttle Up." ?? Immediately followed by the pilot/astronaut respond, "Throttling Up!" ( As directed to do so) Which simultaneously ignited the entire craft to well...memory. That guy must feel like the sickest man in America. Shame.
