"The professional revolutionaries who first appeared during the French Revolution sought, above all, radical simplicity. Their deepest conflicts revolved around the simple words of their key slogan : liberty, equality, fraternity. Liberty had been the battle cry of earlier revolutions (in sixteenth-century Holland, seventeenth-century England, eighteenth-century America) which produced complex political structures to limit tyranny (separating powers, constituting rights, legitimizing federation). The French Revolution also initially invoked similar ideas, but the new and more collectivist ideals of fraternity and equality soon arose to rival the older concept of liberty. The words natianalism and communism were first invented in the 1790s to define the simpler, more sublime, seemingly less selfish ideals of fraternity and equality, respectively. The basic struggle that subsequently emerged among committed revolutionaries was between advocates of national revolution for a new type of fraternity and those of social revolution for a new type of equality."-James H Billington,13th Librarian of congress I will properly define the Sith overture: Peace is a lie there is only passion------"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send [or bring] peace, but a sword." -Jesus Christ (therefore the empire is perfect) Through the passion of the Christ I gain strength, through strength I gain power -------------------"For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power."-1 Corinthians 4:20

My opinion of Malgus, he’s vader gone right. He’s what vader could have been if he was able to break free
@gaelofariandel6747 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Malgus, I think, never wanted to be an emperor over everything. If anything I think he hated the concept by the end. He wanted everyone to be able to follow their passions, carve their own path, seek what they wanted & be physically, mentally, emotionally & metaphorically free. Even if chaos is the result. Honestly, I don't think Anakin ever truly wanted to be a successor Emperor either if he had never been burnt up & managed to kill the Palpatine. He wanted the Dark Side to save his wife. Had he never fallen for such lies he would have let Mace kill him. He wanted the Jedi to not hold him down (even when it should) & wanted to be free to follow his own passions with Padme. If Malgus achieved his moral goals as well as Anakin (pre-Vader) I think they would have been equal-opposites. In the case of Vader and Malgus, I think they would have seen eye to eye at least 80% of the time but never truly gotten along. Deception would have been inevitable.

Malgus was a man of knowledge, strategy, and power. He is one of the greatest Sith, in my opinion. He clearly saw the imperfections in the Sith and the Jedi as well when others thought either side was perfect and well structured. He understood the force better than most everyone and wasn't afraid to voice those findings, the truth, and his morals. He was confident and fearless enough to break away from the Immortal Emperor and the Sith when he knew it was time. That neither side would see their flaws and fix them. He, himself, was determined to reveal those flaws and break the pillars of lies and deception both the Sith and Jedi hid behind. He always knew what to do and how to do it. I'm thoroughly convinced that he was simply playing with either side in SWTOR. Whether captured or free, I'm sure it was all apart of his plan to ensure he exposes all of the secrets and plans of either side. Darth Malgus never played around. He simply wanted everyone to be exposed and understand the hidden flaws of everything and in doing all of that, he knew that he can't have any weakness, else that said weakness ( Eleena ) would be used against him. That's why he never once stopped continuing in his plans for the galaxy. Malgus was needed even if everyone believed otherwise. He shaped the future of the force and the galaxy. He knew that this was the beginning, that the true war was yet to come. Personally, I'd like to sit down with him and ask questions just to learn more about his vision and knowledge, his opinion on things. I think he's the GOAT all around.

“I have seen a vision of the future, a galaxy in flames! The fire will light the way for the strong and when the galaxy is in flames, power will be yours, if you are willing to burn!” Undoubtedly one of the best quotes in all of Star Wars! I do not know if this was intentional or not but that quote perfectly summarizes the path of Anakin (somewhat). “A galaxy in flames” can be interpreted as the Clone wars. “The fire will light the way for the strong” This can be interpreted as the ones who managed to live through the fires of war during the clone wars. Those who were weak died and those who were strong like Obi-Wan and Yoda managed to survive. (Does not matter if one was on the losing side or not, as ultimately those who were strong survived. Strength in this occasion does not refer to ones strength with the force, rather one who is strong as an individual, who never gives up.Maul also survived and he is one of the strongest beings alive. Bo-katan managed to survive and she is not someone who is considered weak. In this occasion everyone is taken into account force sensitive or not.) “Power will be yours if you are willing to burn” foreshadows Anakin’s failure in Mustafar and by being burned ultimately made him stronger! The problem with the Rule of 2 is that it never really gives the opportunity for new methods to sprout up because it forces every Sith to just look up to the tip of their own nose. Sure, most of the time you'll just find dirt, but every so often, you'll find the gold that made all the dirt worth it, like Malgus, Marr, or Jadus. Darth Malgus was a fanatical frontline duelist and Sith Lord that lived 5000 years before the events of Anakin and Darth Vader. He was frozen into carbonite when he declared his own Sith Empire and later has been unfrozen and is still alive With his "chains are broken" he means that nothing and nobody is holding him back anymore: He killed his own wife, because she despite the fact he loved her dearly, she was holding him back and a weakness that could be used against him. He left the weak and corrupt "Sith" order and stopped serving them Now, he can reach his full potential and be utterly ruthless and unstoppable No one and nothing is controlling him anymore

If Malgus was alive during the Clone Wars or the Rebellion era, he’d have won every battle and ruled the galaxy with greater power than any Sith would’ve dreamed

Love this. I perfectly encapsulates everything I love about Malgus: his unique perspective, his charisma, his arrogance. All of it collected into a epic video. Well done.

I love his response to this, “I hear the grand moff calls me Malgus the betrayer” when most would try to defend themselves saying things like “I never betrayed or I never had an allegiance for you”… Instead, Malgus states “so tell me, did my deception sting?”.

Damn... goosebumps. Amazing as always. While the Cinematics themselves are always amazing, your edits bring new life to them. You manage to connect so many dots, work in so many story threads (like Kreia)... I can't begin to describe how amazing your videos are. Thanks for doing them!
