Stone walling the right side of the map during the mid-game might have helped with the raids and map control. Rare situation where stone wall might have worked. Mass farimba camel was your only win condition in imp.

Doesn't look like Malians have an answer to kipchak+hussars except pure farimba camels. The civ is strong in castle but completely falls off in imp. I guess cavaliers are another option. And of course champkarls are irrelevant.
