Malibu Caribbean Rum Review: Transported To A Tanning Salon!

Those notes of coconut were quite delicate, but I couldn't escape the feeling I was a traveling salesman drinking in a hotel lobby bar.

Who else drinks Malibu? The hoarde of Penn State students who somehow ended up RIGHT NEXT to my campsite in the Outback (not the steakhouse, the actual 2.5 million square miles in Australia). Showed up right at sunset, partied til dawn with two girls fighting over a guy and drunk crying when they ran out of Malibu. Screaming WHERES THE MAAAAALIBUUUUUUU? repeatedly for about an hour. Good times.

The fact that he gave Malibu a 70-something score makes me feel so vindicated. A former coworker introduced me to Malibu and pineapple and it's actually a great third round order at a divey bar. Refreshing and low-impact since it's low ABV, plus if it's a second or third drink your inhibitions will be lowered enough to feel comfortable ordering it out loud as a 20-something male.

long time ago, i was drunk at my friend's parent's house, to the point where i knew if i just stopped drinking, i might yet make it through the night. My friend disagreed, and emptied the rest of a bottle of Mailbu down my throat (it wasn't a lot, but....) That remaining malibu, along with the rest of the booze in my gullet was promptly regurgitated into the kitchen trash nearby. I couldn't drink this stuff for like, 15 years after that...

Spf 120 is what you need. That's what I use, skin cancer can be deadly. The sun be blastin' ray and hopefully our planet's atmosphere saves the day. Malibu was introduced in ‘73! Apparently it was give its namesake because it “sounds like warmth.” Has a history after that of ignoring consumer safety guidelines, particularly when they started off, needing white bottles but only being able to source clear ones. They put them on a conveyor belt upside down and hired a fridge painter to spray paint the outsides. They got their shit together when they were purchased by Allied Domecq, who had acquired Seagrams in 2002. They’ve came pretty far at this point, winning an award for “Liquer’s Brand Champion” because everyone missed out on Florida in the summer of 2020 and this is the closest most of us could get lmao
