As, a Pacer fan for decades I watch the game live. The Malace in the Palace is a legendary moment in NBA history, last real moment of Golden Age of Basketball. The Detroit fans got off easy, they went to far throwing a beer on a player. The player/fan interaction changed forever after that, between that and the NBA unjustified assault on Allen Iverson iconic and historical impact on NBA culture and the game, rule changes the NBA changed forever. There are unwritten rules in the game of basketball respect is universal, no disrespect and fans tend to forget until they get hands laid on them. One slip up again in 2018/2019 with a fan pushing Kyle Lowery.
