This song and PV are amazing, it's very happy with a touch of melancholy, romantic and dreamy, and it really has that French pop vibe Mana and Gackt were so inspired by! This song is also very enjoyable for a lot of people, it's not too alternative, and while it is catchy and poppy, it's still well composed/arranged, has original elements to it, and doesn't become boring after listening to it a few times. This song and PV are perfect to introduce someone to MALICE MIZER.
The merveilles edition is edited differently then the 1st edition, the order of clips is different, and every clip is a bit longer then the 1st edition, and it doesn't contain a rewind scene. Also, in the merveilles album, the song au revoir gets a second violin in the solo, which you can also hear in this video.

I met Malice around the time my cat, named Kira, passed away. The band was like an outlet for my suffering, I fell deeply in love with Visual Kei, the songs and obviously the members. Au Revoir I use it as a letter to Kira, he was so cute and amazing, a cute cat and really funny. I miss him so much that I would do anything to spend the last days of his life with him.

I just recently bought the Merveilles album, and I already had the single, and I never realized what I was missing with the different mixes! You can't really hear the tandem violins and some of Gackt's vocal effects in the single version, which is a pain because it was my 2nd largest expense on Malice Mizer music.

The album version has more pitch correction on the vocals, the single version sounds more raw but a bit off because the vocal is louder (the "sonna fuki" at 1:29 sounds different in particular).

I don’t give a shit what people think of Gackt. I don’t believe what people say about him and come on at some interviews you notice if you’re smart that he’s acting that big ass ignorant person it’s image nothing more and sometimes you see he’s breaking out of it (saw a tv show with kids first he tried to stay in character but soon kneeled down to the kid )☺️ I’m maybe not long enough fan of him ( 10 years now ) but I think gackt has a very good heart when you listen to his songs you can read his character through it . Oh no you don't have to buy the DVD for that! I don't have anything against ILLUMINATI (in HD) being on KZbin, I just have something against it being on my channel, since it is repulsive. I will probably convert it myself in HD 1080p, but then will send the file to an existing J-Rock channel for them to upload, (so that way it will have a big reach), I'm thinking about Catness Productions, but I haven't contacted him/her yet.
