-Totally! besides Nomura-san (ff character designer) used Gackt image for Genesis of FFVII CRISIS CORE, he even give the voice for the character, it's soooo unique~ 💜

Actually Nomura (the designer) denied that Squall was inspired from Gackt. He said Squall was inspired from River Phoenix. But I also think that Squall really looks like Gackt lol, I read that Gackt himself was calling him "Little Gackt". He played as "Genesis" for Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII where he appears in the ending of the game, and he voiced the character in Crisis Core.
