The problem I have is that this game takes place in the past, yet somehow the technology used is MORE advanced than say what you find in MGS1 and MGS2. Snake Eater didn't get carried away with it, the Shagohod was beastly but believable with its tank design. The soldiers with levitating booster platforms was based on real life blueprints and experiments at the time. ...and then comes Peace Walker and has flying mechs with AI advanced enough to be from present day, and this is 1974 o.O

I played the Extreme version of this one and deployed with D-Walker and equipped its Intercepter head. It works if you lure the skulls in front of D-Walker and use the "intercept mode" command.

HOW TO BEAT MISSION EASY: (NO S RANK) go to the right of building as mission starts, climb up top where quiets sniping. supply drop yourself a big fat gun. and just run around top of building shootin em off while quiet helps you...i'd say about 5 minutes. Netted me an A rank

Easiest mission ever: All you have to do is climb up on to the roof of the big white hanger and keep firing your launchers at the big guys. It takes about 5-6 rockets. When you are running out of ammo resupply through a resupply grenade (DONT GET OFF THE ROOF). when you are on top of the hanger they cannot reach you. easy peezy

Bjarne Tollevsen I wouldn't call it "easy" The Sahelanthropus boss fight is alot easier than this to be honest. It took me a couple retries to finish it but I managed to do it, CQC countering their melee attacks and shooting at them, dodging their other attacks, taking cover when they're shooting. It's definitely alot harder in the Extreme difficulty, I used the same method and took me 7 retries, but that S-rank is so worth it.

I just S ranked this mission - on extreme - despite doing crap. Just have Quiet with Sinful Butterfly with you and let her do the job. All you need to do is to keep them in her sights and apply cqc when they melee you. Easy.

Behind the hangar on your right (when you first start out) there is an access corridor in the ground. Thanks to a slight flaw in the contact meshing you can effectively lay down there and call in airstrikes till they are neutralized.

There is a faster way to take them out easier but, it requires agility skills, you need to be fast. Shotgun, shawn-off shotgun to be exact, go near, shoot both bullets, run. But you need to be fast or else you 'll be dead in seconds. Also the rocket launcher is good. Nice video by the way, you're a good player

Man.. I played the entire game stealthily up to this point so I never upgraded my weapons apart from my tranq gun and sniper. This mission was terrible since you weren't given the option to finish by sneaking Code Talker out.

This fucking mission... I'm playing it right now, as a matter of fact, trying to 100%. I figured CQC is non lethal and it's harder to pull-off, so it should take the skulls down pretty quickly. High risk, high reward, right? He *teleports behind me* and I'm like "not today, mother fucker!" As he writhes in pain, I pull out my tranq and send a few "supply drops" his way. Good riddance you piece of shit, I say to myself, as I immediately start running for my life, trying to stop the threat of flying rock attacks that only ever ceases AFTER they've been launched, or recover from the heavy damage inflicted by ONE bullet. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.. God damn, this is taking forever. I've hit these guys like 50 times, WTF! Learning all the patterns, I got to the point where I could just about stand still and wait for the skulls to attack. After nearly an hour of a single attempt at this mission, I retaliated against a skull machete attack and went to pull up my UN ARC NL (non-lethal assault rifle)... I dropped an input (which is virtually unheard of in MGSV*), and ended up aiming my binoculars at the skull... I've had my mark dropped several times when fighting other skulls; They fucking teleport and the mark is gone. I wasn't sure if all of them do this, I'm still not sure which ones do this. The point is, when you mark the skulls, sometimes your mark is voided. I understood this as marking the skulls is a waste of time. When I accidentally marked that skull and saw that his health was nearly 80% after an hour of fighting, I couldn't fucking believe it. I quickly looked around and marked the rest of the skulls to find they were all around 80%... Alt+F4. *it is a well known fact that MGSV drops inputs constantly.

Lol you never get one. If you look closely and have played the game, you would notice that the Skulls use machetes for hand on hand combat. Snake is simply using their own weapons against them like the *Boss* he is :)

+stump469 CQC is everything with this level. Get them with CQC when prompted and then shoot them. I had Quiet with me, she helped a lot ( they released a patch in the last update, so you can now use her in this mission).

CQC is just R2/RT when they are about to strike you ( the prompt will show on the screen), THEN shoot at them. Try not to run around when they are too close coz this will affect your chances of landing a CQC when they go to strike you, face them and wait for that strike and counter it, this will stun them enough to hit them with bunch of rounds (Quiet will shot them too). If you get hurt go for a run around the hangers to heal. I also hung around the abandoned tank like this guy to use as cover from the huge rock throwers when I needed to hide from them. Make sure you put Quiet on 'attack'. You should get it in a few goes. It's still challenging but CQC is the key, I died 10+ times before seeing this video, I was trying rocket launchers, grenades and even a tank. Load up with two machine guns as primary weapons and you'll beat it. Good luck:)

+energetically1 HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, "S" ranked........by pure accident I'm sure. Saw a tip about getting on the hanger roof cause they (Skulls) can't get up there. Well, they can. :( I was up there and got Quiet to "kill them", whilst I was waiting for a supply drop (heavy duty sniper), I just kept running in circles while I waited. won't get you s rank or nothing but use quiet with her heavy sniper run to roof immediately run in circles on roof non stop let quiet do all the work :p takes 5-10 min of her shooting with mid to heavy sniper and bam easy cheese
