It is such a gorgeous hike. Even when you are tired and out of breath, you can stop anywhere, take a look around, and feel refreshed! :)

It's amazing in the winter - you are literally at the bottom of the gorge, walking on a frozen sheet of surface water and the river is still rushing there, under your feet. Incredible!

I wish I could bottle the energy those kids have. Looks like the trail gets a little rough, but well worth the effort. That is a cool looking waterfall at 7:27. Great hike and great views, but beware those shortcuts.

How rich would we be if one of us could take that energy and turn it into some sort of legal, over-the-counter pill? I would have popped about 20 of them to get through Joey's shortcuts, that's for sure! LOL

Beautiful Maligne Canyon! You showcased it very well, and the kids didn't look tired at all. I was exhausted making it maybe half way to the fifth bridge before turning back - so congrats for going all the way there. Well done, my friend 👍. I bet it was spectacular in the winter - I'll have to checkout your icewalk video as well. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week 😀.

It was a long one, I'll give you that! I was really proud of the kiddos for doing it - they had more energy than me at the end, putting me to shame. Granted, I ended up carrying two backpacks by the end as well. ;)

@@DowntheWrabbitHole Nice! Question: Do you normally post on a Wednesday? I was wondering myself what day may be better. I have done Friday the last couple times, but I noticed a lot of people seem to post on Friday - very busy. Wednesday may be better.

Gosh...that is an impressive amount of water going through that canyon. I would imagine the flow would be even bigger during spring runoff. Yeowza! I'm cracking up over your husband's shortcuts. That is usually my strategy to extend the hike out a little longer when my family goes with me. LOL! Looks like your kids did great!

The water just THUNDERS through there. I can't even imagine during spring run-off! And yes, Joey isn't allowed to make the call on shortcuts anymore. LOL

Hi guys, its been a bit since we checked in on you guys and I love the hikes and fun you have been having. Our kids love puddles also. 4 miles with kids is about our limit also- trying to slowly push further. Beautiful hike

Yes, every time we go hiking we try to go just a bit further than before. Kids are tougher than we give them credit for, I believe. Mine are totally little adventurers! :)

Wow! That canyon was a little scary! Powerful water and deep drops - I'd be so scared going there with kids or dogs. Very pretty though.

A. It is a national park and drones are not allowed. It's a huge fine if you get busted. And B. I still don't have my drone licence! I'm lazy and don't want to pay any money.

I believe it was around 3 hours in total, but that was with a little break at Fifth bridge and also walking with two kiddos. I'm sure it could be done in less time! :)

Constantly. We keep them fairly close, except when I'm stopped fiddling with my camera and one of them tries to escape me.

@@DowntheWrabbitHole I think about 10 years ago Northern Vancouver Island cougar jumped the high fence at an elementary school snatched a little girl up and over the fence out into the forest she was dead minutes later
