Two phenomenal warrior spirits. Magnificent Muay Thai from both parties. Absolutely no shame in that tapout/TKO considering the garbage healthcare this country provides. There's no point taking irreversible damage home with ya. Gotta stay healthy to fight another day. Both athletes gave their 100%. Just wish they defended their upper bodies a bit more. Ajmal seem to have expended his gas tank pretty early too. Nothing but the best wishes for both of these fighters.

I reckon 6-8 more years before we see a Lankan at the UFC level. Kaz De Silva has a great ground game for example but still has work to do on learning standup. But he’s one of the best ground fighters in Lanka while Malinda is one of the best strikers in Lanka
