जितनी बड़ी कलाकार ,उतनी ही सहज,सरल ,शांत ,शिष्ट ,सादगी से परिपूर्ण व्यक्तित्व है मालिनी जी का,4 दशक पूर्व सुना था पहली बार ,अपनी प्रस्तुति के बाद अश्विनी भिड़े जी को सुनने के लिए हमारे पास आकर बैठ गईं ,हम गद्दों पर पर बैठे और विदुषी सामने दरी पर बैठीं तब आग्रह कर के हम उनको उठा कर अपने साथ लाये ,तन्मय हो कर सुनती रहीं अश्विनी जी का गायन,वो एक अद्भुत दृश्य था।
