Elliott, some of these comments suggest that you could be the first duck hunter in history to have a bad shooting day. 😂😂😂 thank you for keeping it real and not editing out the misses. Glad you guys got it done. Great hunt.

The other person calling is doing an alert cadence, definitely not helping in finishing the birds. Beautiful place though! Can only imagine how they dump in on a sunny north wind day!

On those longer shots you are not confident in, you are self consciously talking your self into missing them before you even pull the trigger! Some practice and a faster swing on those shots will help.

Why are u guys just shooting 1 or 2 each group? I know you guys trying to pick drakes only but isnt it less efficient to be shooting 1 or 2 and just scaring the rest of the group? Not hating at all, love your hunts. Georgie's doing great.

These birds were a little bit further range. There were not multiple opportunities on this passes.

Quite a high number of crippled birds for shooting a supposed premier shotshell.
@FreelanceDuckHunting5 күн бұрын
Well, I can tell you that I have used Flight Day for the entire season. Cripples have been at a minimum. I don't pass shoot very often and I just didnt shoot well. It's as simple as that. Poor shooting is going to happen at times no matter what shell is used.
@meghan75475 күн бұрын
@@FreelanceDuckHunting We were speaking of the "entirety" of the hunt. We're allowed 4 Mallards in our 6 duck limit, so 3 limits would be 12 birds, would have to rewatch and count but it appeared almost half the birds were being shot again on the water, some multiple times. The point being, is it really worth paying 3-4 times as much for a box of shotshells if that is the performance one is going get? The video "clearly" speaks for itself in those regards.
@FreelanceDuckHunting5 күн бұрын
@meghan7574 12 birds is WAY to small a sample size to draw any reasonable conclusions. You’re best off relying on the ballistics data which is readily available in order to make a well informed conclusion. I sure hope you don’t normally draw conclusions from sample sizes of 12 as a general practice. If you do, you should probably go back and rethink all of the observational based conclusions you’ve made throughout the course of your life.

@@FreelanceDuckHunting Aww, making personal attacks is quite childish. Many things on paper seem to appear accurate, wonderful but in reality, they aren't as good as they appear. If math and science were the "absolute" there would never need to be any changes as projects get tested in the real world. If spending that type of money for results you seem to be appreciative of, so be it. Again, the video speaks volumes to real time hunting results.

Seems like shooting expensive bismuth vs steel makes zero difference. lots of cripples and misses
@FreelanceDuckHunting5 күн бұрын
@@Macdaddy22713 the verdict is out on bismuth vs steel. It’s 100% better ammunition. But poor shooting can occur no matter what load you use.
@Macdaddy227135 күн бұрын
@@FreelanceDuckHunting how do you explain all of the cripples
@FreelanceDuckHunting5 күн бұрын
Poor shooting is the explanation. There is no doubt that a heavier metal is going to be more lethal than a lighter one. Are you really suggesting that steel is just as letal as bismuth? You can certainly kill ducks with steel. There's no doubt about that. But we all know that heavier metals cause more damage on impact than lighter ones.
@Robert-tz2gt5 күн бұрын
While bismuth is ever so slightly more dense than steel. Steel is much harder and uniform. Steel's hardness and uniformity allows for much tighter patterns with minimal choke. With Steel you can go up in pellets size and still retain extremely high pattern percentages, whereas bismuth deforms easily so patterns are tricky at 40yds. Bismuth doesn't have enough difference in density to outweigh steels pattern efficientcy because of the hardness of steel.
@Macdaddy227135 күн бұрын
@@FreelanceDuckHunting I have observed the opposite. Bismuth shatters and does not pattern as well as steel. There is not a modern steel duck load that cant kill a duck within 40 yards (Which is where you should shoot them anyways) Bismuth is a total scam and money grab.
