Hi bud its me again. MA Liberte I forgot to tell you about it. When I first put it on it wasn't something I like instantly. The pour homme I thought was super from day one. After using the MA Liberte for a few days, the structure of the fragrance is similar to pour homme...not the smell. You can tell its blended by the same man, I think its the Mysore sandalwood in the base that comes forward after an hour and you can smell the structure is the same...very soft, very creamy not overly done. Some women's fragrances have that part that gets up your nose and keeps doing it all the way. Its not like that its super smooth

As for no buy July...no worries it'll be interesting to hear your take on these two, how they develop and what you perceive on each wear. Personally I'd wear them anytime, Middle Eastern fragrances are worn all year, yes you'll pick them up out in the high heat but also in the chill of the over air- conditioned Malls, restaurants etc. Keep us posted Rich and enjoy Sotd Sirocco- Lelong, great on a stinking hot day down here as was yesterday! 😂

I wonder if it’s not necessarily reformulation but a change in ingredients? Especially if there’s real oud, they might have run out of the original batch (had to purchase more of an ingredient; the market & harvests differ). Perhaps the label difference means that is the second or newest perfume batch created? Even with the same formulation, other things can change. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just joining this idiocy as a fugitive from Watch collecting. Got a nascent fragrance collection going. Why do people go for The Night if it smells sh*tty? I'm keen to try a sample, but seems a lof of money to smell pooey. What don't I understand?

@@mindfulawareness1 there's a long history of "animalic" smells in perfume, think kouros smelling of piss. Frankly, some people are just fucking nasty and like it. The night is a very interesting fragrance because it takes a relatively difficult note to use, natural Hindi oud, and frames it in a perfume made by a classically trained western perfumer. Most mayoral ouds are used in attars and eastern perfumes that have different ways of blending why means they rely more on the intricacies of the material itself rather than the perfumers skill and, imo, it shows.

Hello! I don't think I've smelled fidelis but the moon just wasn't for me. I got all the amberwood and I really hate that synthetic screech from it. Some people like the smell but it's not for me at all. If you like it, you should get it and not let my opinion sway you! It's your money 🙏🏻. 15% off a fragrance as expensive as the moon is a good saving! Have you smelled the moon before?

I’ve been to a Canadian store called Holt Henfrew once a month to see if they finally put out a tester of The Moon for me to try, but they never have it. The only one from the Desert Gems collection they have to try is Promise, which I ended up buying and is my favorite in my 40-50 full bottle collection. I love FM and have a dozen 10ml bottles and a handful 50ml ones, and my taste has been changing over the last months and I started enjoying perfumes with oud a bit more now. My favorites are HdP Fidelis, CB Cuirs, LLI Fortis, and Promise (I know this one does not have Oud, at least real Oud). I don’t wanna blind buy a $675 bottle, tbh, but 15% off is ❤. Thanks!!
