In my estimate, roughly, TN govt is borrowing 100 crs a day in addition to its revenues to run govt. It is a borrowing of 30 thousand crores and above a year. Interest must be above 7% per annum, equal to additional 2000 cr interest every year. The TN is surely getting into debt trap.

@swaminathan3715 I am sure u r a DMK supporter. In 2021 the debt was 5.65 lacs cr, the debt now is 8.30 lacs cr. Revenue fm tasmac is Rs 48 k cr. Total revenue sgst n state collection like loans property registration, bus charge, current bill, water tax, sewage tax, aavin , vehicle tax, state till, etc is Rs. 2.65 lacs cr. Expense is 3.35 lacs cr. None of the state govt include the other borrowings like bonds. The gap is almost 70, 000 cr every yr. That is keep on increasing bcos of undoubtedly the freebies. As of now Tamil Nadu can not raise debt through indirect bonds. Status is do or die . After March, the freebies will have severe hit. All prices that r Tamil Nadu govt are already raised by 50%to 170%. Bcos of this status, state project like 2nd phase metro rail construction handed over to central govt.

@@natarajank6565 I am not a DMK supporter. I have never voted for DMK nor will I ever vote. By lifting prohibition in 1968 the DMK introduced liquor to the young. After 50+ years a good per centage has become addicts and have become useless for any labor. They introduced samacheer kalvi and diluted standard of education. In all India competitive exams our students suffer. The introduced compulsory pass upto 9th standard. Even basic quality in education vanished. They removed competitive exams in higher education. Competitive spirit has been killed. In total, we have numbers but it is not what it should be. To conceal all these both kazahams throw tax payer's money all around. After all these, will I ever support DMK? What is meant was TN is getting into a debt trap.

My watchmans wife works for a Govt primary school in Udupi Karnataka. She has not been paid salary for 5 months and Govt has threatened them of consequences if they go on strike. The BJP is foolish for not raising this matter in Karnataka.
