Though we can not understand the grammar of raga and basic of Jaipur-Autroli Gharana. I have seen him in Dharwad several times, but now understanding his depth of Rendition.

According to his Biographer, Sri. Irfan Zaberi, he developed lung cancer, perhaps, several years before his demise. But he continued to sing only a few days before his demise. Therefore, the strength of his lungs as evidenced by the length of the passages and gamakkas is surprising. MM may have smoked bidis, although no paper as in cigarettes but tobacco nevertheless.
