MALLORCA Department Store: Expensive or Affordable at El Corte Inglés?

In this video, MALLORCA Department Store: Expensive or Affordable at El Corte Inglés, join me in Mallorca for a department store Christmas tour to find out if prices are expensive or affordable.
I'm in El Corte Inglés department store on Avenida Jaime III, Palma (there is another on Avenida Gabriel Alomar).
So I head into the Christmas section to see if prices for Christmas in El Corte Inglés are expensive or affordable?
Be warned now, you’re about to see a lot of plastic because fur trees and holly are not grown natively in Mallorca.
We then head down to the food hall and check out some Christmas treats from "turrones" (nougat) and "polvorones" biscuits to huge hams to last an average Spanish family the festive season.
So let's go inside, it's Navidad in El Corte Inglés 2022 and let me know what you think of Christmas shopping in El Corte Ingles.

Really enjoyed that bit of Christmas shopping ! Thanks Alex! I was just looking at Christmas trees while food shopping in Tesco this evening and a 6ft one with berries and snow flakes was £55 (£45 with a club card). I might be tempted as I love real ones, but hate the mess! el Corte Ingles trees were quite a bit more expensive. Lovely though! Oh yum! Home made Christmas cake is the best! All the food and decorations looked lovely. I have not started Christmas shopping yet! I got served a John Lewis advert as one of the adverts on this video! I guess KZbin knows that your video is about a department store! Lovely to see some of the lights again!

Yes, I'm pretty sure we got our tree for about 20 euros from Carrefour years ago!! And it's still going! 300 euros is a bit steep!

I enjoyed this walk around the store, wow, so much glacé fruit and way cheaper than Fortnum and Mason in London ( then again most things are cheaper than in there😁) I suppose we’ve got used to seeing the lavish Christmas windows in London, but the less fancy ones like in this store have a charm of their own I think.

Love window shopping, hate Christmas shopping. Palma looks absolutely beautiful at Christmas but stores could put in more effort. Would love a real mallorca grown Christmas tree but guess that's out the question.:). A bit expensive but I'd give anything to be there.

A Mallorcan Christmas tree is a palm tree! 😂 We also have a festive yucca which I put lights on, as well as our PVC Carrefour cheapy tree!

Always enjoy a browse around the store when in Palma 😍 Love the Christmas decorations in the stores 🎄🎅 I’m sure La Rambla has beautiful flowers/wreaths for Christmas 🎄 Just back from London, it’s mind blowing there with Christmas and totally rammed with people 🙈 We actually did Christmas at Kew Gardens, loved it 🥰🎄

We loved the Market at the Duke of York Square on Saturday. The food stalls were fantastic with live music 🎵 They were even selling glasses of veuve clicquot 🥂🍾 (my kinda market 😂)

El corte inglais is a bit to dear for mefor clothes a bit like selridges or john lewis give me springfield and i am happy!!.

It can be good in the Sales though... picked up some bargains so hoping to do the same in January. Corte Ingles also has the added benefit of being a great place for us locals to hang out in when it's 35 degrees to escape the summer sun - many a time have we dived in there to cool off (not now though lol)

Hahaha, spending nearly 5euros on some cherries that I could get for a couple of quid in Sainsburys, I think so!
